I have a question for Order Blocks:

From the first screenshot, you can see that the 3 order blocks are red as a whole. But looking at the internals, 2 of these 3 order blocks have more buyers than sellers. I thought the overall color of the order block is based on which side has more "power". Can anyone help me understand this concept in LuxAlgo's tool here? Thanks!

• This should help, when you have a larger amount buyers/sellers, it doesn't necessarily mean that price will go in that direction, but it can provide insight when price revisits these OB's.

The actual color direction of the OB, is based on the structure state
Bullish/green OB will occur during a bullish structure trend state.

There are 4 bullish orderblocks and 1 bearish orderblock in this chart image

Oh I see. So in this screenshot I posted, from the top order block to the bottom order block, because the price is in the bearish downtrend, they are all in bearish state (red); but the 1st and the 3rd order block have more bullish activity, according to the internal activity. Am I right?

The video also talks about "buyers/sellers getting exhuasted", what does that mean, and how does that display in the order blocks?

Price needs to confirm that is a LL so it can happen once price reverses enough but that can be any number of candles.

It won’t print a LL on the exactly candle it appears as it doesn’t know that’s a pivot point till price has confirmed it by moving in the opposite direction a little first

Please forgive me if this is not the correct chat to post in, but I haven't subscribed yet and have limited access to chats.

I am new here, considering purchasing the Ultimate subscription just for the convenience of finding pre-built strategies I can automate. I've spent about a year trying to learn trading manually but ultimately got burnt out on the course. Due to life constraints (overworked, impending loss of a family member) manual route will not work for me at this time.

I work with a friend who has more trading experience and is a web developer by trade, and we have been using PickMyTrade / Tradingview / Tradovate (Lucid is our prop firm) for our automations. He recently stumbled across LuxAlgo and we are both considering it but neither of us has taken the plunge yet. This seems promising and seems it would save us the step of messing with ChatGPT's limited free chat resources and other issues.

Just wondering who has had success trading futures (automation strictly) using the AI Backtester, and is it worth it? I realize the markets constantly change, but anyone not doing this manually, I have a few questions:

on average, how long do you paper trade something the AI gives you before going live?
how do you tune your settings to pass prop firms and get payouts?
and on average how often do you need to go to square one and get a new strategy to try when the current one stops performing?
What are the signs it's time to do that?
How does the full setup process work, from subscription to automation and strategy maintenance?

@plush ravine In TradingView/Settings/Canvas, if you set the background to solid black, the little dot will be easier to see. In your screen shot, the little dot is almost on top of the bar, while in mine the little dot is to the right of the bar. I don't know how to change how far the dot is from the bar. If you are able to load a second copy of the Oscillator, the dot will be brighter, because you will be seeing two copies of it.

Hey @old crow, can we do next stream on "how to use steps(the new functionality added in latest updates) in backtester strategy"? Also can we have this functionality like "conditions happening around in specific time period or candles instead of needing them to happen in an order"? Because in my strategy the conditions specified happen around couple of candles in random order; so even though they are exactly what I want for trigger, the step rules with not let it trigger as all of them not occurring in specified order or in 1 candle; is handicapping the ability of building more potent strategy. I have another backtesting setup from different tool that has this function: if these conditions happening around a specific time period or specific amount of candles, the strategy is valid and will trigger.

For multiple timeframes, within in each step, sounds a bit complex, and not sure if this can be done with PAC, just need to experiment with externals or Lucid connectors. Also, there are no multi TF conditions for S/O's toolkit, only in PAC at the moment.

Hi guys, joined LuxAlgo about a month ago, the premium, not ultimate. I've been trading for about 2 years, still inconsistent atm...I'm really liking the LuxAlgo toolkits, I've been in other paid groups and must say these toolkits+alarms by far exceed what I've seen from other premium indicators. This is a very good question.
Of course, it would be ideal to get familiar with the exclusive toolkits, so that you have a good foundation for the AI Backtesting tools. But there are many members, that jump right into the Ai Backtesters and do very well with learning everything together at the same time. So this just depends on you mostly, and what you are comfortable with......

Hello everyone, I'm working on a strategy that uses S&O tool kit and the Lux ORB & Targets indicator. Would I add this to the S&O tool kit as an external source with alert scripting and then in the S&O strategy pull it in with LUCID connector? Example, ORB shows bullish breakout, this aligns with a bullish confirmation signal, trade is executed. Any help is appreciated.

Try to have the Orb as an external source if you are using scripting and/or with the UI drop down.
Lucids are only used for our exclusive toolkits, S/O's, PAC, or the Osc Matrix. External source are all other 3rd party indicators or non Lux exclusive toolkits
