make sure you dont using signals of this macd higher TF then yours chart timeframe, otherwise it will cause repainting and stats will be counted wrong

click options and you will see which TF its using

you can use higher TF MA, EMA, Supertrend, whatever, but if we talk about oscillators - its can cause repainting

to verifiy it - check your signals in replay and you will see if its not matches

I do have those. But i had POI/demand zones on my charts also but they disappeared. honestly, i'm not sure if they were from my Luxalgo indicators or a different one. Not sure how/why they disappeared. Sometimes they showed different than the OB's

in this situation you need to set "cross under" upper band 1 instead of "lower" also you need to make stop loss and exit.

I use LuxAlgo for scalping. I use PAC, S&O on the upper pane of TV and the Matrix Oscillator on the lower pane. PLENTY of confirmation and correlation for scalping. The algo will not tell you what to trade or how to trade but it will help trmendously with entries and exits. Reach out to support here to get videos on how to set them up. Just my opinion.

You need to understand the basics of trading first, and then use tools and indicators as an aid to your technical analysis. Always start on a DEMO account until you’re consistent and have found a strategy that works for you and is actually profitable. Trading takes time and patience to learn - it doesn’t happen overnight.

For OCDers the biggest thing is prolly just staying with those from whom they inherited the disorder cuz others don't understand. I'm currently starting 4th yr med skol in Pakistan and I wanna make enough so I can save for not just my family (cuz my dad passed away few years back) but also me travelling to US for residency/specialization cuz it gives a Global license plus it pays really well. Since you guys said that many of you are suffering from it, may I know if I should move to US or just do specialization/residency in Pakistan which pays (5x less than in US). I use order flow and tape reading. Same process grain traders used in the late 1800's. I only take A-trades and am sitting on my hands more than trading. I tend to trade out of supply and demand zones on the 5M and 15M charts.

Hey, totally understand about being overwhelmed. Let's do this...
Let's start all over with how we can approach this.
In my own opinion, use the backtesters on "your" own manual strategy first.
This was, and "still" is the intention of these backtesters. Get familiar with the stand alone toolkits of Signals & Overlays, and Price Action Concepts, or the Osc Matrix. Then create a manual template based on your trading style. Once you are at a point of confidence of your manual strategy template, I would then recreate that in the Backtester settings.
Once you have successfully migrated your manual strategy chart settings, into the backtester, you can then focus on optimizing a few of the performance data areas.
Then you can slowly add or remove features, settings, or confluences to improve in these data areas.
Once you have achieved the performance results that you are happy with, then you have accomplished what the backtester was intended for.
Then from here, the sky is the limit on how you can further use these backtesters to create new strategies for "yourself."
The strategies posted within these Ultimate channels were created for the authors trading style.
So lets start to create your own.

These strong/weak highs and lows are basically the highs and lows of a most recent swing structure.

Remember, these two anchor levels (H and L, premium and discount) are from the most recent swing points, so the metrics at these levels are from that structure, but of course price can still bust up or down.

I understand that Strong/Weak Highs & Lows are based on recent swing structures, but I couldn’t find a clear explanation in the documentation about what the displayed percentage actually represents.

Could you please clarify:

What exactly does the percentage value measure?

Is it comparing volume between the bullish and bearish swings that form the structure?

How should the percentage be interpreted in each case:

Strong Low

Does a higher or lower percentage indicate stronger participation, or higher probability of holding vs breaking the level?

An explanation of how traders should practically use this percentage in analysis would be very helpful.

I usually do pinescripts

I took a little break from trading, I usually trade props which don’t allow swing trading so until your on live it’s hit or miss

But from what I seen, luxalgo doesn’t repaint or look ahead so I’d lean to it being probably good, for example you can implement look ahead or a repaint command in pinescript on trading view and it will recall past buy/sell indicators

Then you remove them and the win rate and profit factor is super negative

there is no set amount of bars, back test it on your own. The Look back length is 5, but depends on the pullback, sometimes its more than 5. This is not a LuxAlgo concept. This is a structural concept of highs/lows, where information is readily available on the web.
