Also you can try higher the sensitivity to produce less signals OR you can experiment with the auto pilot feature where you can set it at:

• short term
• mid term
• long term

I personally like the auto pilot: long term when utilising the S&O toolkit for my trading analysis. But that doesn't mean its the best, its just what i've found works for me and my trading style, you may find other sensitivity/auto pilot settings better geared towards your trading style

When you have multiple indicators (not just LuxAlgo) that have gradient colouring in the code, there will be glitches.
Try this to:

• First add: Price Action Concepts
• Second add: SIgnals & Overlays

This should solve the issue of the S&O toolkits candle colouring not showing when you add Price Action Concepts

Micky, I have a question for you. I have been doing this for three years and am still having trouble getting over the hump. I have noticed your trades are off of the 2 min primarily. Are you waiting for bar closure or just the break? I saw the break of the trendline, but I didn't take the NQ trade due to PA being near the smart trail. Thank you!

Each of my trades are different, I couldnt really place a concrete set of rules.
Just depends on how I feel what price is doing.
Buy in general, on each trade, I will focus on one element to use for my guide.
I may have 5-10 elements on my chart, but I will focus on one of them on a particular trade.

Friday was a Green Day for me. I had to be patient and take a few controlled losses in fear of getting steamrolled. Using Contrarian mode on the 1m comes with its share of challenges but using it along with other reads to bulk up a positions with micros and watching the trade work out in my favor felt good. I was eyeballing the 4h OB formed at RTH so I speculated it would take alot of energy or a lack of liquidity to mitigate that block and on the 1H the level looked like a series of rejections ...so I saw thru the chop and went long from the base of the range. I will use the Contrarian gradient at S/D regions to build positions at key levels to avoid buying/selling at the extremes(I also trade momentum setups and I do it like a dumbass but nobody's perfect)

I think the 1m contrarian gradient finally "clicked" when I saw how it reacted to a really strong HTF 4H OB. I entered too early but once I saw what was happening and read the structure it was good to see things play out the way I wanted. its just building a position once things die down a bit is less stressful. I also shorted from vwap but with way less size due to lack of conviction and the realization that the mf could get aggro and go back up and tap supply again. You just never know so since the HTF was bullish I scalped the shorts much more quickly and kept the stop above market structure with a readiness to cut the trade.

Also fyi: contrarian gradient doesn’t work good on GC. It’s better to use the simple candle confirmation with GC. Always gotta back test the instrument to see how it responds to overbought/oversold conditions. NQ seems to work well.

Ensure when you have set your conditions in the Price Action Concepts, you then proceed to create your TradingView alert with 'Custom Alert Condition' and not 'Any Alert() Function call'

1. There is a way to do multiple exit source on backtester? (more then tp and 1 source of indicators) I never tried backtest scripting yet. Im feeling pretty limited of realization my strategy ideas on backtesting panel. If ill try luxalgo scripting, i will reach multi-exit source, or its not possible?

2. Can i export my algo setup fully from backtester via webhook with all details or do I need to use webhook directly from indicators? (what in theory can ruin all what i backtested)

So over the weekend I went from 189.21 realised PnL to -9.50 realised PnL because I started taking more risky trades and not following my simple strategy, I then went back to my simple strategy and now back to 199.53 realised PnL. Colored candles works differently according to the sensitivity you set, the luxalgo provide 4 different modes for it.. these are actually the strength of particular direction if green candles are there that means markets is strongly bullish.. if they are purple colour they are sign of choppy market and if they are red this means strong bearish trend..

U can choose sentivity according to ur trade style

U can keep it auto pilot mode : short , mid and long term and if u dont use auto pilot then u can use optimal sensitivity by manually adjusting it time and again

Low stress NQ scalping setup/RFE request with PAC.

Due to the stressors of life and a family illness I had to take the last couple of weeks off because the news made me tilt my accounts. I took two weeks off and lowered my size because trading can be emotional and anger, sadness can cause errors in trade judgement. I can now trade 2-3 RTH sessions per week because I have to be there for family and family is more important than market and the market will be here when I get back. So I take notes on the correct method for someone like me to enter into trades on a gently trending RTH market on NQ. Gently Trending feels just as treacherous as volatile impulse moves and this is just a way for me to read the market.

I make AVWAP clouds and I place them on market structure regions....so Higher Lows if the price is migrating up at a grind. In PAC the internal swing lookback is set to 15 and signals and overlays is set to countertrend gradient. This timeframe is for the 1m and the goal is just to have a simple entry method for pullbacks that logically reduce drawdown and exposure. The problem with gentle uptrends is the neophyte tends to buy the top or sell the bottom in hopes of a breakout...and this is dangerous for obvious reasons. NQ is prone to stop runs, but when the market is liquid, algos form around AVWAPs pinned to market structure. Instead of deleting all but the most active....I place on at each structure and volume imbalance where I claim my biad(here I am only interested in longs). Trades are placed at these levels if I sense reactivity. 3+3, + 6+6+3 for a total of 21 micros(depending on conviction, risk profile, etc). In this image, if price mitigates the breaker block at the ATR SL of Signal& Overlays then the thesis is incorrect. The position is built to offer profitable exits due to the fair value regions that do not have a derth of buyers and sellers. If NQ starts cooking with gas then using a deviation for pullback can work at the cost of risk.

What I want from this setup is to execute successful trades in boring markets. One of the main keys is to raise the internal swing setting so that the pivots on the one minute are easier to pick out.

The RFE is to have Price Action Concepts draw an AVWAP at internal market structures with deviations that align with the MS.

I tell myself if I make progress on my entry and exits then I can go back to adding more initial instead gradually building them. I also keep the 1H chart open w/ 4H OB so price migration is a bit more manageable. Once in profit I tend to get that stop loss past break even because I don’t want to get cooked.

Also, you are on the Osc backtester, but you dont use any osc elements? Just use the S/O's backtester.
Please revisit the catcher placeholders, there is a difference in bullish catcher, vs switch bullish catcher.

Hey @old crow happy weekend, if you're around, I am trying to see the alerts on my chart in S&O. I've used this - first just the code then tried checking the boxes, but i don't see anything added to chart. What might i be missing?

by alerts i mean see the plots

i didn't set any TV alerts - not what i was trying. What i am trying to do is use Lux to help indicate if price is in a trend and reference that value from the Data Window in TV in my Pine code. So before that i was trying to see those on the chart so i can see how they work along my strat - but ideally without the extra graphics. Hoping for just a little icon, or letter, like where i changed the default block to T and A.

ok let me try to explain better, and am looking at docs also. Can i have a triangle (or whatever) plot on the chart when conditions are true? Say {bullish_confirmation_any} and not ({bearish_tracer}

Each toolkit's LUCID connector can only be used within the backtesters. For example, open a new chart, drop an S&O Backtester, then a PAC in there. If you go look in the Backtester, you will see the connector (see pic).

Btw, I haven't tried lately, but TV's mobile app doesn't have the strategy tester on it. If that's the case you would need to use TV on a browser.
