CHoCH -> reversal. a change of direction. a shift.
BoS -> a continuation. not a reversal.

I have some script exit code to exit at certain time, and its working except it's offset an hour when daylight savings time started. the docs say

"The session placeholder {hhmm-hhmm} returns true when the bar is within that time interval. This is simpler and automatically handles DST based on your Timezone setting."

I'm using that session placeholder

But it is offset as mentioned. What's simplest way?

so that 1320 is UTC, so it exits positions in my time at 7:25, which is good - then back before DST, it does it at 8:25 instead.

you would need to monitor this when DST starts/end, as well as monitoring contract rollovers for cme futures.
Automation for CME futures can be some heavy work on your end.

Always need to make manual adjustments with futures.

I’ve tested many strategies but I’ve noticed that most of the profits come from short not from long. Once I remove short from the strategy the profit factor drops to less than 0.5. I’ve tried also the AI CHAt but no luck. What is your experience?

If you create your own strategy, you will have much more loyalty to it, you feel inclined to further optimize it, and make it the best it can be.

If you try other members strategies, I think you will find yourself hopping around other members strategies constantly.

I understand, only thing i wanted to know is that if ML is lets say 3 or higher would that be a + signal and i need to enable both Bullish and Bullish +? what if i just want it to alert when the triangles appear ? i am guessing any bullish but wanted to make sure its only on the swing preset and not all types

ML not really correlated to normal or strong.

You would need to build a condition if you would like to use certain ML values

Values range from 1 to 4

You can build the ML conditions with Custom alerts

Lets say you want only ML 3 and 4, in directions of bullish signals, so you select this for 3 and 4, along with "any bullish confirmation."

after you select and save your alert condition in the indicator settings, you will now need to create the notification alerts in the TradingView Alert Panel

Then you save this for your longs. Then you select and save for your shorts. You will now have two sets of alerts, for longs and shorts.

@clear furnace First, you dont say which timeframe you prefer to trade in, that will determin the way forward. No point looking at 5 min charts if you are a swing trader. Start slowly with the basics. Load 1 instance of PAC & SO and maybe OSC matrix, use 2 timeframe setup, like 4 hr & 15 mins, just watch a couple of crosses and learn the ropes. Dont clutter your screen.

Hi there, the different options on Autopilot basically have you choosing between short, medium and long term trends. This has nothing to do with the timeframe the chart is on. You will see more signals with short, less with medium and the least with long term trends. Throw it on a chart so you can observe.

There really aren’t any universal “best” settings for every trader - everyone has their own style, risk tolerance, and market approach. Settings that work well for one person might not be suitable for another. It’s all about experimenting and discovering what fits your trading strategy.

The higher the timeframe, the less noisy price action is. But in regards to which timeframe you should use for a 3-4 trade is impossible to say as we don't know your strategy or how price action will behave, we can only predict where price may go.

Just wanted to share my terrible experience with LuxAlgo. Buyers beware, terrible customer service. My yearly subscription renewed today at $720, last year I purchased it at $250 black friday deal. I immediately realized this and contacted support to see if they would work with me to either cancel/refund and re-order the BF deal or just cancel all together. They are saying no refund and not providing any leeway. The BF deal is currently ongoing. I've had this happen in the past as we all forget these BF deals come back to haunt us and every company has honored the current BF price or issued a refund. If you have a renewal coming up, either cancel now or get screwed.

Yes automation is possible with TV alerts/webhooks, unfortunately, these are processed through 3rd party services, and since this falls outside the range of support offered by LuxAlgo, LuxAlgo and myself are unfamiliar with these services that integrate these webhooks for trade execution into your brokerage of choice....But you are welcome to ask around in the other channels to see if other members can guide you on this...

For any of you that do sign up for LuxAlgo, make sure, if you decide not to use it longer term, that you update you subscription to cancel/not auto renew. I did not personally find it useful and quit using it months ago. Unfortunately, The auto renew was on. I received no early warning that subscription was about to auto-renew (I checked, nothing over the last 30 days). Today they charged my account and even though I contacted them same day, they refuse to cancel. I have never dealt with a service that has refused a same day concellation. In addition, Visa has a requirement that auto-renewals require an early warning. Needless to say I will be contesting the charge but I cannot say I recommend this service. For those of you that find it useful, great, but those of you that are just 'kicking the tires' please make sure to double check auto renew status. I was out under Tradingview looking at subscriptions. Unfortunately for me, I signed up for LuxAlgo directly

Well, I appreciate that but the reason I am here is I already contacted customer support. Given their lack of response I will have to go the route mentioned above. I can appreciate the fact that it may be written concerning the autorenewal. Still, Visa also has it 'written down' so I will go that route. One of the benefits of using a card. Still, even without all that, canceling a same day transaction to avoid this type of issue/bad publicity would seem to be worth it for LuxAlgo

I woke up today to a full yearly charge even though I canceled over a month ago. The first response from support said they had record of the cancellation and renewal date but now they won’t refund 😕 citing the same boilerplate TOS response. Lack of any cancellation or automated reminder emails, refusing refunds on day one of renewal, or cancelled accounts still being charged is a dark pattern for sure. To be honest, most of us have the Premium plan due to the amount of historical bars available, which allows to replicate most of the AI strategies. The lower TV plans would still work great, but in order backtest a larger window, I believe a higher plan would be best.

Gemini 2.0 was super good. It created complex strategies and script with no compiling issues. Then somehow its IQ dropped and it couldn’t code for sh1t. Went back to Claude and it does a good job. Created some new indicators using Gemini 3.0 and so far its pretty good. The strats i made were complex ones with multiple TP and various types of stop losses plus different sessions enabled etc

Like anything, needed work and revisions but in the end they worked well. But my strats then were based on momentum and emas. Since then I have changed the way I traded using orderflow vol prof and vwap. Im going to try to create new strats on NT8. I made an indicator to show price divergence from CVD for potential reversals using Claude. But TV orderflow data is not reliable. When I have time I will do more for NT8

AI is a completely different beast. Converting my human thoughts to a robot has been an interesting conversion.

So, not so well. However, back testing has been great. Just trying to put it into a way that a robot would understand. Not the best coder

What I find useful for coding is to write down your logic clearly and each scenarios and also build the strategy in stages. I start with the basic function and that add layers of complexity.

So I hijacked Mickey dope ass shit and updated a couple of things. the internal market structure variable was lowered to 2, and the external conditions now look at neocloud 1 and 3. Signals and overlays now is set to contrarian because I want to trade the pullback and not buy a top or bottom....hmmm.

you know what is kinda weird and not documented? the ML classifications when S&O is set to Contrarian. When it is set to Confirmation we were told the 2 meant retracement and 3 meant trend(quote unquote)...but what do the ML classifiers mean when they are set to the Contrarian mode? Is this documented?

Actually, the ML values 1 through 4 are subjective.
No right or wrong way to interpret them.
Some traders may say 1 is weakest and 4 is strongest.
Some traders may take trade with 1 and 2 since its the start of a trend and avoid 3 and 4 and it might be towards end of a trend.

So the values are based on each traders style, and what they "see" on the charts.

I get the idea of subjectivity/objectivity...but its a signal and I dont know what the signals mean in the context of a confirmation or a contrarian ie reversal signal.

like here: red 1 signals are weak, but the red 3 looks like its ripe for reversal...but the green 3? steamrolled.

I am stacking instances of PAC and S&O because its reps and I have to put some time in. On the auxilary S&O, i set the any alerts to lock in and color the trend catch Up area a light transparent green this is to tell me that when Mickey's neo/market structure shows a signal...its in a green or red zone(ie pullback or continuation). then I took another PAC and set it so it would trigger when there was internal market structure and a trend catcher flip...and these were set to brighter green and orange....and this wis meant to signal market structure shifts(ie reversals)...the goal is to make a 1m cruise control setup with some reinforcements here and there.

I’ve got a question about the Volume Delta indicator.
Can someone explain how to read it correctly?

I already have a strategy that works well, but I’m looking for a way to filter out some of the losses — especially those trades where I get tapped in, price moves like 0.1R/0.2R in profit, and then stops me out.

While searching for solutions I came across the Volume Delta indicator, and now I’m wondering how to read it properly and how to implement it into my strategy.
