Also in the backtester window for AMD itself I have put in messages for e.g. Long Entry Message or Long TP Message.

Ok, so it looks like the issue is only with Futures

for the futures I don't have the option to create the alert through the backtest window itself. I have to click "create alert" in tradingview and then I selected the backtester - that does not seem to work.

if I click on the Backtester report on the bottom I can usually create an alert. That is greyed out for the futures.

So the only way to create one is to click "create alert" on the top bar in tradingview

It was to fix an error with SL/TPs in short signal. If price is close to 0 then there is a possibility that the TP would be negative (below zero) due to how these are calculated based on ATR.

Not sure but could be a result of the symbol not being active 24/7 and only regular NY trading session (no overnight) that may have caused a gap and the SL was based on the previous session time level? You can test this theory out with other symbols that trade nearly 24/7 and see if it plots correctly for these symbols.

Instead of using OHLC values when using Heiken Ashi to get proper entries is there any other way for the backtest to use real pricing when entering a trade. Yes this is all so new to me so slowly learning to be honest. I don't even know what a script is. But by looking at what you sent me it is some type of code. To be honest I will probably take advice from the live community stream and keep it very simple. So will stick with autopilot and then in my own time I can learn about scripting and so on and still trade my simple strategy whilst learning new things

I had my first big win today, and when I say big win I don't mean financially but I mean having a simple plan and sticking with it. I see that the individual subscriptions have been discontinued. I only use PAC in practice, so I wanted to switch my subscription to that. Now I see that I can only choose from two variants. That’s a shame — in that case I’ll cancel it altogether. It’s getting quite expensive.

Hi Mickey, in your videos I never see vwap or moving averages, is it because they are included in the algorithms of the S/O toolkit in the catcher or tracer for example?

The reason why I dont use the vwap or moving averages, is because these are not part of the LuxAlgo's exclusive toolkits. These live streams are specifically to go over members questions pertaining to our toolkits only, and simple chart templates to help everyone get started. I also show a few of my strategies using our toolkits but I personally do not use vwap or any other moving averages for my personal LuxAlgo templates. Hope this helps

Yes Mickey, because in my technical analysis training I was shown how to use that. Currently, with the tools available, I'm having trouble finding my strategy; there are so many good options. I'm currently looking at scripts that might give me some leads.

Everyone is different, just find what gives you the best shot at being consistent.
