Since then I Built my Portfolio back to ~10k in lil over 2 months

Fantastic that you are getting into trading and crypto so young. You will go far. But that's a big loss. start smaller. Take profits more frequently. don't leave yourself so exposed. Set hard SLs when you can't watch your trades. Try to disconnect emotion from your decisions as much as possible. Make your rules about exits BEFORE you enter your positions.

Yes, I learned much from this loss. Im trading since im 13 years old. The First 3 years only Demo Accounts and since im 16 with real money.
Turned $500 from my father and $1000 from me to 70k in 2 years.
Then im suddenly back at the beginning. This was a very hard time but im back now.

market will pump hard in August. mini-pumps between now and then. Get yourself into positions where the downside risk is small (find coins that are lagging but have solid fundamentals) and get your bags setup for the big run. there are still good coins to get into before alt season really runs. PYTH, TIA, CSPR, MAVIA, SPEC, MORPHO are a few i'm watching or have small positions that I plan on getting into more on an expected dip in next several days. Follow the market narratives to maximize gains - AI, DePin, DeFi, Oracles, etc.

If you aren't taking some of your profit $$ off the table after winning trades and putting it into stable long term investments, you are doing it wrong. At your age, you will be RICH by the time you're 30-35 if you just take 5-10% and stick it in ETFs, etc. You don't need to make 20x in 3 months on every dollar/euro you've got.

I would be cautious of SOL. XRP is a long term play. I think it will retrace a lot after hitting cycle highs this year unless they get some HUGE new news. ETH is going to become INCREDIBLY important to the global economy I think. Institutions are buying it up and locking it away.

Hi everyone! I’m currently developing an algo strategy for FTMO and have run into issues with historical XAUUSD data.

I’ve collected 1-minute and 15-minute data using Quant Data Manager, and also exported price data directly from an FTMO demo account on MT5 via an MQL script — since the bot will run on that platform. The main issue is that even slight price differences between third-party sources (like HistData or QDM) and the actual FTMO feed significantly affect my strategy logic — especially for detecting FVGs and fractal BOS. This causes trade mismatches and unreliable backtest results. I’m aiming to backtest XAUUSD over the past 10–15 years, so I’m looking for the most accurate historical data that closely reflects FTMO’s price feed.

If anyone could share:
– reliable data sources for gold that you’ve used,
– how you align third-party data with FTMO’s feed,
– and/or any tools or pipelines you've built to solve this,

Hey there, just depends on how you use the Backtesters. Some members use them to backtest their manual strategy, and some use them for their own automation into their brokerage accounts.

If you are using the Custom Alert Creator, please use the Custom Alert Condition event. Also, please be aware that any changes to the chart/toolkit after the TV alert is created will NOT update the alert. A new TV alert must be created. Please verify that this is the case and start out with a simple custom alert with the highlight bar already showing.

Select 1 instead so that you can actually see the Highlight bar. No highlight bar then there is an issue with your conditions. Set the step to 1 instead.

Is there a way to do this via webhook or by exporting data directly from the chart?
I'm working on a Python-based research project and want to analyze correlations using these metrics, but so far I haven’t found a reliable method to pull historical data for them in bulk.

I made a strategy earler and have been rolling with that ever since. However i wanted to try to incorporate something as easy as bollinger bands into the alert section but in the external section i cant find BB. (its currently in the same window as OSC indicator and using it as source)

Am i not understand it correcntly and not being able to do it, or is it not possible?

Or second thought, do i need to use the backtester for this?

Hi there - not all indicators can be used as external sources in our toolkits, it just depends how its been coded and what's available in the TradingView Data Window. I haven't experimented with the BB bands so you would have to try for yourself but I just did a quick check on the externals for something like:

Alert when price crossing the Upper BB band and that works as: close - crossing - BB: Upper

• (as you can see the two little blue alert highlights on chart meaning that's where the alert would of been triggered for that particular condition)

It just depends how you are trying to use the BB bands within your strategy, I hope this helps you understand a little more

That is down to the individual user as to which TradingView plan they opt for. It can depend on various factors such as how many alerts you will create, how many indicators you will use at any given time etc. So its best you research the different plans available within TradingView then decide which one, if any would suit you.

i use lux algo and it helps me with my trading but if you think it will make you pass your funded account and be profitable you need to know that’s not the case

it for sure helps me a lot and allows me to be more confident when my indicator lines up with what i’m thinking and helps me identity key price points so overall it does help

Right now, I’m finding the tools really powerful but quite overwhelming due to how many features there are. I’m looking for a beginner-friendly setup or a recent video guide that matches the current versions of the indicators on TradingView.
If there’s a strategy that focuses on straightforward entries and exits, I’d really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
