In custom alert, you would need to add a 2nd instance of Signals and Overlays, one will call the other.
One color (green to purple to red) will cross the other color. Purple to Green is "crossing 1." Purple to red, is "crossing -1."

Hi there - its entirely up to you how to use the S&O toolkit, there is no 'best settings' as the best settings for one trader may not suit another trader. Have you checked out the two videos on the signals of S&O? Here they are:

Also the lower the timeframe, the more noise there is within price action. If you are new to trading, id always recommend starting on a higher timeframe. Also try adding other confluences before taking trades such as signals in the direction of the neo cloud/trend tracer/smart trail etc.

I also like using PAC combined with S&O for further confluence as if a buy signal is produced and there is a order block right above, that trade already has resistance above it and id then wait for it to push through the orderblock and retest it before taking the S&O signal. The signals are not designed to be used blindly but as an aid in your technical analysis.

In the screenshot you shared, notice how the sell '3' signal pulled back right to almost touching the order block with 69% then reversed, if i was in that trade - i would of been paying close attention to how price reacted once it got to near that order block

The percentage in the Order Blocks doesn't mean that's the percentage that price will go to that level. If you have 5 order blocks on your chart, all 5 will add upto 100% - This way you can see more significant order blocks. A Order Block with 70% is more likely to be respected than a Order Block with 1%. (But this isnt a certain as with trading nothing is guaranteed)

There is no set way to trade though, you need to find what works for you and what doesn't, each trader is different and has different trading styles

It may be different data providers,
(IE: if your viewing OANDA charts on TradingView but have a ICMarkets MT5 desktop account)
Forex do not trade on a centralized exchange, such as stocks, futures and options.
Forex are traded at each brokers liquidity exchange pool. Although there are slight differences, the pricing and chart are visual very similar.
But there are differences in pricing, this is due to individual exchange pools, some are regulated in their local countries, some are not regulated. This can cause slight differences with where Order Blocks etc are plotted. My suggestion is to find and use a brokers data feed on a symbol for TradingView charts, that closely matches to the actual brokers symbol on your brokers account, in the event TradingView does not provide your brokers exchange data.

The squeeze does not interpret drawdowns. For me, I manage my position manually on each trade I execute.

I use back testing to give me a general bias on my strategy, but I will trade it manually moving forward

I avoid trying to make each performance metric perfect

It is nearly impossible to have every single metric to be perfect

For me, I do not do any auto trading

Because auto trading you would still need to monitor it so I don’t see the point

Hi guys, I can't seem to achieve keeping the candle colours from the S&O when I turn on PAC. I've sent the PAC ind to the back and brought S&O to the front, I've tried turning off the candle colouring on PAC which didn't work. The default colouring in TV I've set to white. Is it possible to keep those bright colours (simple) from S&O whilst having the PAC ind showing? TIA. All I look for in PAC is CHoCH and OB's.

Not at the moment unfortunately, because there are no buy/sell signals with PAC to have it auto optimize like the Signals and Overlays Optimization Dashboard, PAC is just a structure toolkit, with no buy/sell data points. So we would just need to optimize our own TP/Sl based on the structure strategy concept we are following. Hope this makes sense

The easy way is setting up one custom alert for each. The slightly more difficult way is to add another S&O to your chart, then use the external sources Smart Trail Crossing Smart Trail Extremity. The crossover is basically when the Smart Trail switches bearish or bullish.

The alert will occur at the confirmation of an OrderBlock, not at that first candle because we don’t know if that first candle will be an OrderBlock.

Orderblocks are formed at market structure confirmation

I think you would have to determine when and why the strategy works or doesn't work. Usually strategies fall into 2 main types: mean reversion or trend following. Then you can figure out how to do your sampling.

That is one way to do it, yes.
But if you like to visualize the Script Highlight bar on your chart, in this case, I would add another instance of the toolkits and create the next new script alert on this one, so now you will have another highlight bar, which you can relocate to the bottom of the chart, now you have two highlight bars for the two script alerts

And for scripting, yes the docs teach you what t is, but we all have to do some experimenting, trial and error.
There are a million different alert scenarios and there is no way any mod would know these by hard, so we have to go through the process of writing the scipt with trial and error on our part. So it is best for you to actually do this on your own. And we have posted quit a few examples here #1325920853682159667 and the video that was published today.

• So if you attempt to write the script and you are stuck at a specific point, then yes, you can post your script for us, so we can have a look for you, to see if we can find the syntax issue.

The backtesters do not have a "conditions input field."
This is an Alert Scripting feature
