There is no false signals, but you can change the look back period of the swing/internal market structure. This changes the lookback period for the indicator

BOS’s are all the same, the code is marking the chart where the price broke the most recent swing high/low. Break of Structure, BOS. They are all real. It is up to us to analyze the structures for our own directional bias. For me, I’ll use a higher timeframe chart for my structure trend bias

Whilst automation is achievable on the Backtesting systems, please be advised that LuxAlgo does not provide direct support for automation, as this is facilitated through third-party software, and the process varies depending on the program being used. The toolkit can facilitate such automation; however, beyond adjusting settings on the indicators provided by LuxAlgo, we would not be able to provide further advice.

If it does fluctuate like most symbols, then try your best to use a value that approximates the average slippage?
For forex brokers, they do provide average "spread" values during peak and off-peak times.
Maybe your brokerage has this info possibly?

@old crow Thank you. I trade small cap top gainers. Part of my strategy is to only select stocks with a minimum spread (1 cent). So if I am scalping and get 10 cents, I want to account for the 2 cents worth of slippage due to the spread in the back tests.

Also, please note that there are no alerts for HH, LL or those of a similar nature, as these are confirmed several candles later and is not possible to determine real time.

I will explain the strategy I want. I love scalping and use Signals & Overlays for entering trades, but it doesn’t provide clean signals at all. Let me give you an example: If NQ or ES is in an uptrend, it gives a green signal, but if the price continues rising, after some time, it gives a red signal instead of keeping the green one. I hope you understand what I mean.

The advice I can give you is, a this time, don't think about money now. You are just four months into trading. Cal down, take time to watch the daily stream videos, try on DEMO ACCOUNT for few months, also read the documentation, etc. You can't afford to rush, it will drain you.

The 75% fib level is just my personal golden pocket level. I don’t trade these levels blindly. I must see other PAC conditions to validate my entry. It can be any level in a premium zone for a sell or any level in a discount zone for a buy. You can use traditional fib levels such as 0.618 etc etc

luxalgo team, how does your script not get overloaded when running through the process of testing strategies, i won’t go into any details but i know the method of how you find the best strategies in my case all within one script, my question for you guys is does your script not get overloaded (assuming your process like mine is ran through pinescripts) because i know dynamics cause limitations so mechanical processes must be executed instead, my issue is my system doesn’t use 1 sensitivity input and instead has an input and then on top of that 15 factors that have thresholds and sensitivity change values, i plan on creating the entire system to find the most optimised strategy in 1 place but overall that means after the full process is complete, i have to go to the next factor and test a loa dog combinations, i have some changes i can implement to have a sequential process occur with features in place to limit the workload of the script, would you say i should have any concern when creating a sequential process to cycle through finding the beta input for each factor a section at a time?

I have a question regarding ready-made scripts. I need to set an alert for divergence with momentum on the oscillator, so I copied the script from the documentation: {bullish_divergence} and {hyperwave} crossover {hyperwave_signal} and {moneyflow} > 50.
I opened the oscillator settings, pasted the code in the Conditions input field under alert scripting, enabled the Scripted Alert checkbox, and created an alert on TradingView. I selected "Custom Alert Condition" in the dropdown menu. However, my alert has not fired for the last two days.
What could be wrong with this? I created 8-10 alerts with different scripts to check if any would match.

I just checked on UJ using the script conditions on the 5m chart:
{bullish_divergence} and {hyperwave} crossover {hyperwave_signal} and {moneyflow} > 50

The last time the alert triggered for me was a few days ago. The condition does work but it doesn't trigger too often. You could reduce the money flow value to see the alert trigger more often. The alerts in the documentation are just guides, you can alter them how ever you see fit.

• I reduced the money flow to > 30 and it increased the amount of alerts on the highlight bar

The alerts are fully customisable to you and your trading style. You can optimise them as you please

Is it possible with the new Alert Scripting feature to trade without the TV alerts? So via LA's own software kit?

I had a lot of calculation error's lately with my TV. Which rekk'd 2 Funded accounts.

So i'm looking to make an automation (with LA backtest), but without the TV alerts part.

I don't believe that's possible. Automation requires webhooks via TradingView alerts to be send to your brokerage via 3rd party app

its why i stick to manual trading and watching the markets/news events etc. Automation doesn't take a lot of variables into account

Ye i got that part build. Like everything runs smoothly from the moment LA prints an alert it's about 0.1s before the trade is active in my NT account.

The problem is that tradingview gives me an ''calculation error'' once in a while. So than the alerts are paused or even crash. Which is fine if it happens outside of an active trade, but destructive when it's inside a trade. Ofc I've added some safety additions like attaching a TP/SL to the original order, so in case it crashes it still has a tp/sl set. So not relying on the exit-alert to exit the trade.

But this calculation error is still bothering me. I did some googling and it can be some things:

• Complexity of the script (LA i figure). Too many while loops.
• Memory limit. So it makes excessive data requests and tradingview is like ''naah fam''.

I wonder if by building the strategy in the alert script, I could bypass this.

Maybe i'm just building it and go test it.

I never have these calculation errors, only with some strategies.

Limit the number of bars your script processes by implementing date/time filtering.

I have made this layout keeping all three indicator and it is just for 1hr timeframe which i use it for..

1. Left side top one have smart trail and neo cloud ur fav🙈🙈 i still remember and also combined it with fib retracement level from premum to discount…

2. Left bottom i have kept it for my main signal overlay setting using trend tracer of three lengths which gives me the place of rejection…

3. Right top i have kept it for order blocks of 1hr , 4hr and daily and 1hr fvg, double fvg and inverse to see rejection area

4. This one is crazy as it have fvg,inverse fvg and double of three lengths 4hr , daily and weekly… so i get the most imp level of rejection

Once all these allign together u can execute trade

If you guys want i will place entry and exit criteria too🙈🙈 kosis krunga but stidy them i tried to include max of features

guys when i update my indicators it loses the settings, its annoying cause ive got them optimised and sometimes hard to remember to get them back ha. can i save them somehow to prevent this

Hello guys. Coming to you all as a forex trader and not only a Lux Algo member. I have been testing a strategy that I created during Q2 of this year after finally deciding to lock in and be serious about trading. I have approx. 5 years in the game right now (apologies for not sharing my strat since it uses other indicators not provided by Lux Algo). I have had very productive results with this strategy, netting over 1,500 pips in 4 months. I have managed this without changing this strategy and I only introduced a way to break even to minimize losses, which has significantly improved its returns. My psychology is also very intact since I've managed to stick with the strategy even after losing numerous consecutive times. I think I am ready to enter prop firm trading but really nervous since prop firms have extremely restrictive policies. However, I have made sure that my strategy aligns with the prop firm I want to work with. Do y'all think my nervousness is unnecessary?

I am not capitalized enough to trade with my own capital. So I was thinking maintain that 0.75% risk per day and 1:2 RRR with a small prop account first, use the capital to build my own trading account
