For the most part, I set it, and forget it.
Hit or miss.
Rarely Ill move my SL, maybe price has been sitting at the same profit level for days, and days and days, and now heading into HUGE news release? maybe FOMC, CPI? Maybe Ill move it...

The overall subject matter of posts and DM's, are basically how to be profitable and stop losing all the time, and requesting help, one-on-one coaching, copy-trade, best settings, etc etc.

• I want to first say that I truly understand, I really do, as I was in this same chapter of my trading career.
  I was frustrated, and have given up multiple times, over and over, until a "light-bulb" turned on.
• And I just wanted to offer some ideas if you're overwhelmed with everything.
• Find a "Mechanical Concept." 👈🏻

Not a "subjective, interpretive discretionary concept," but a Mechanical Concept.

Find a mechanical concept that YOU like, don't force yourself to like something, that you don't believe in.

A Mechanical Concept that has CLEAR rules, no confusion, just black and white clear rules.

Example (just an example):
When Signals & Overlays prints a buy/short signal, in direction of Smart-Trail, take entry in same direction.
That's it, clear-cut rules.
A mechanical-concept.
Now study and test this over and over again.

Once you get the hang of this,
then you start to add a few more confluences, to subjectively filter out some entries, with YOUR OWN analysis.
This is where you begin to optimize the mechanical strategies, based on your own trading style.

Another mechanical strategy, as an example, that's it; turn off everything in Signals and Overlays.
Turn on Candle Coloring at Auto Pilot Long Term.
Now take the candle color direction blindly.
Green, go long
Red, go short
Now there are some good candle color entries, and some not so good.
THIS is where "you" start to optimize and start adding other toolkit elements to filter some of these set-ups, based on your style.

Yes this is possible with TV alerts/webhooks, unfortunately, these are processed through 3rd party services, and since this falls outside the range of support offered by LuxAlgo, LuxAlgo and myself are unfamiliar with these services that integrate these webhooks for trade execution into your brokerage of choice....But you are welcome to ask around in the other channels to see if other members can guide you on this...

@old crow just like signals and overlays where we have buy and sell signals, can luxalgo also introduce buy and sell signal alerts for Price action. just thought that it will be cool to have such alerts generated whenever the price retests an OB and is rejected.

I think you will find that this offers a lot of flexibility, and you can use the Custom Alert Highlight Bar as the signal.

Yes. Indicators are great. Helps in confirmations and giving a sort of confidence if you really want to trade with them.

But indicators aren't the crux of the game. It is price action and volume analysis.

Striving to learn it through standard books and practical demo (backtesting and paper trade).

You are smart , my advise dont look at footprints charts, they say its good and it makes since but in reality its. So so so so hard to read, you can check wyckoff method , its advanced

Price action concepts in my view is the more accurate. But you have to know how the indicator works and what the concepts are. To use it correctly, it is good to study SMC, then as you study, you will observe the indicator and understand more. The indicator serves to help you improve your analysis.

You need to know the concept of Premium and Discount and know how to use Fibonacci in the SMC way. Then you can combine it with S&O to help you even more in the analysis. I use 2 Neo Clouds, one set to 1 and the other set to 3. I also use Smart Trail set to 3. Then when all of this aligns and the PAC points me to something with CHoCH, I go and enter the operation or I wait for the return at 50% of Fibonacci to make the entry.

and most importantly, understand what liquidity is, where the liquidity is and how to carry out operations in favor of the liquidity generated.

Right. I am aware of this.

But the thing is, I change colors on indicator. Then if I remove it without saving the indicator template, it goes away and I have to do the hard work again. This happens frequently for new users as they are playing with settings and different combinations.

Think about this, on the indicator settings page, there is a drop down for colored or monochrome theme. If I choose monochrome, one dialog box opens which gives me ability to choose which elements I want under monochrome and an option to set their transparency with default set values which should work for most users.
Wow. Such a nice add to the visuals.

I am also aware about the ever increasing code base and performance issues of the script, but this should be a simple implementation though with only few lines of code.

I understand your request and your need for ease, but you can also save it as a template like i do. I can always load my template with my selected colors anytime, on any symbol, on any timeframe. Also, the developers will need to consider this, if there is enough room within the PineScript. Many factors goes into the thought process, as an example, do we want to use up Pinescript code lines for color themes? or use it for a new market structure feature?
In any case, the developers will review your request and note it.

I totally agree with the use of memory and lines of code for features first and then visuals or other nice to have features.
But the point is, this shouldn't be a limiting factor at all.

Trading view gets installed as a software on windows and my machine can do pretty heavy stuff. Memory or performance as a limiting factor for such a small script astonishes me. Or confirms that the software needs to evolve. Trading View I mean.

A mono chrome theme may not fit everyones style of monochrome, that is why there is a user defined selection of all the colors and hues within PAC, this way, anyone can save their own color setting template.

@white jewel Also, this depends on what platform you are executing your trades on? Are you executing on TV charts that are integrated with your brokerage? Or you executing in your brokerage platform? And this also depends on when you want to make the contract switch based on the volume between both contracts. There is a lot that goes into futures contract expiration. I would suggest you head over to the CME exchange as they have learning resources for you, and your futures brokerage would have learning resources as well.

Hi there, on step 2 is the arrow pointing to the confluence red zone or the green turning point up?

• Small dots are regular bullish/bearish hyperwave turning points
• Large dots are strong bullish/bearish hyperwave turning points

These are the examples for both
Step 1 - Reversals - Reversal Up+ (green triangle)
Step 2 - Confluence - Strong bearish (deep red confluence bar)

Step 1 - Reversals - Reversal Up+ (green triangle)
Step 2 - Hyper Wave- Oversold Bullish - Step 2 (big green dot)

Find a mechanical concept that YOU like, don't force yourself to like something, that you don't believe in.

A Mechanical Concept that has CLEAR rules, no confusion, just black and white clear rules.

Example (just an example):
When Signals & Overlays prints a buy/short signal, in direction of Smart-Trail, take entry in same direction.
That's it, clear-cut rules.
A mechanical-concept.
Now study and test this over and over again.

Once you get the hang of this,
then you start to add a few more confluences, to subjectively filter out some entries, with YOUR OWN analysis.
This is where you begin to optimize the mechanical strategies, based on your own trading style.

Another mechanical strategy, as an example, that's it; turn off everything in Signals and Overlays.
Turn on Candle Coloring at Auto Pilot Long Term.
Now take the candle color direction blindly.
Green, go long
Red, go short
Now there are some good candle color entries, and some not so good.
THIS is where "you" start to optimize and start adding other toolkit elements to filter some of these set-ups, based on your style.

S&O works in 60-70% of cases. The ideal is to put the PAC, which works at more than 80% (a well-established strategy, which has a lot of logic even in the market, because is how the big ones carry out operations). PAC is based on SMC, which normally gives good returns to the trader if he knows what he is doing. In my opinion, it is prudent to place S&O together with PAC, and only use Reversal zones, Smart trail and neo clouds together with PAC (SMC). Then you get a good alignment of context and additional confluences in the attitude you want to achieve.

1. you have your limit order set, and notice MSS before you’re tagged in. Would you consider cancelling order or I think it’s ok to wait for the retracement to play out imo

Ok looks like you are bracketing a long setup. So when you have the limit long, you will most likely have a structure confirm that will be bearish, this is expected as you are waiting for the pull back. For me, I will keep my limits and get filled, and hold the trade until the fib high or low gets filled for win or loss

Hi @old crow , I am using AI Classifier on S&O indicator, I can't find in luxalgo documentation the difference between 1 and 2 & 3 and 4 signals . Can help explain the difference?

Here is what I found - For Confirmation signals, lower-numbered signals (1-2) can be indicative of a potential reversal or retracement, while higher-numbered signals (3-4) can be more indicative of a trend continuation.

The confluence meter is a birds eye view on the actual Osc Matrix elements, based on the MoneyFlow, HyperWave, etc
So in my opinion, focus on and analyze the actual Matrix element visuals

@old crow BTCUSD . On higher time frame it was in a daily order block . So was looking for shorts and found one on the lower time frame. Applied the fib from LH to LL and got in about the .618 pullback and too it to the LL and you can see the profit. OSC matrix helped as the hyper wave down and money flow red on south side below 50 line. So thanks again for the guidelines

first of all i dont know if i need to say that i use heikin ashi candles, ordinary candles i think they are to messy on my brain. i ask because i tryed earlier to display higher timeframe with a second P.A.C applied to my chart (15mins & 1 hour) and they where to the identicaly same place

OK then I cant say for the HA bars, as those bars are a trending algorithm on top of the regular candlesticks.
HA starts the trend later, but holds the trend longer.
But in any event, orderblocks still form based on a series of candles, that confirm a market structure.

Market structure theory was developed based on regular candlesticks.

The Essential plan basically has the Price Action Concepts indicator and its screener. The Signals & Overlays indicator plus the Oscillator Matrix indicator are included in the Premium plan or higher.

The stochastic has a tendency to range within then 20-80 range, and closer to the midline... which sucks cuz you want the cross signal to be in the overbought/oversold zones. The stochastic RSI, on the other hand, cycles between the overbought and oversold areas a bit better.

Look at the 1:53 pm candle and the two stochastic. The stochastic rsi (bottom one) has a cross that is located jn the OB zone; it is confirmed. The regular stochastic, however, is not in the OB zone. Whilst it had a cross, it ain't confirmed.
