Im looking for a simple but effective trading strategy....i like the fact that you look at higher time frames to get the bigger picture...smaller time frames are kinda noisy and get me confused on the oscillator matrix....so im trying to develop a strategy of trading pivots alongside support and resistance on higher time frames(1 hour and above).Can you suggest any strategies using the luxAlgo premium?

I like 15min PAC w/ another PAC at 4hr and LuxAlgo CISD as a fundamental S/R indicator. LuxAlgo Sessions(3 instances), w/ ICT toolkit and CandleBlocks(so I can see 4hr) for basic layout. I have the Sessions tuned to markets opening and closing and also I want to know when they gonna eat lunch or go to powerhour from there I can gauge direction/ranging vs trend strength and squeeze. im also watching with renko blocks waiting for a trend to enter. I keep S&O and OM for quick confirmation references. I know I have to clear out unused indicators its just I am practicing. I used to set my SL to tight and now its the swing H/L or a renko swing. Other people be waaaaaaaay ahead of me I just love that there are less blunders.

this is how I knew NYC was prolly going bearish. Asian Markets were bearish and London was anemic bullish to ranging. The PAC told me that in order to get past all that there would have to be enormous money flowing in contrary to those markets. ...at least thats how I read it, so instead of laying a long I waited for the trend to manifest. just an estimated guess.

there are differing opinions on whether PAC works with Renko...but for me I am looking at it for supports and resistance. when I get in at the right trend I just take the scalp and hop out at resistance...but again I am finally learning with people smarter than me.

currently I notice smaller Order Block percentages up untill 140, where there are more buy than sell orders. Then at 148 there are big percentages with a larger proportion of Sell orders. Is an explanantion for this that whales /market makers are selling small amounts on the way up, bidding price to go higher in order to sell the majority at that climactic block?

If you are able to apply your knowledge of the system to corroborate if what Im sayin g holds wieght it would be useful.

You're case scenario could be interpreted that way, us as traders will all interpret the charts differently hence why no two traders are the same. But generally larger percentage Order Blocks could carry more weight behind them as opposed to lower percentage Order Blocks.

It all depends what your trading style and type of trader you are.

We don't know what the 'whales/market makers' are doing, we are always just guessing and trying to predict price action using stacked up confluences in our trend direction bias. That's trading.

I'm a software engineer professionaly so naturally found out there is algorithmic and systematic traders and then found algo traders and quants was a thing. I found a quant trader on youtube and he was saying technical analysis and chart patterns are horoscopes for men and really thinks it is a bunch of nonsense and relies on mathematical and statistical models as a quant trader in order to make trades. Was curious why LuxAlgo has the word Algo in it if it is heavily relying on technical analysis. thought quant/algo trading was when you don't believe in technical analysis.

SIgnals are only confirmed when candle closes.
Before candle close, if you see the signal flicker, that means current price is almost at the algo calculations threshold to trigger, so now we must wait for candle close to confirm either way.

I like your thinking.
Back in the early days of my LuxAlgo family, I use to mention, alot, about my 5-10 pip strategy (or ticks in futures)
But not so much these days, as this brought on numerous of unconstructive challenges against me, so why bother, so I stopped.
My thought process on this.
For me, I can predict with a high percentage on price moving to 5 pips, versus price moving to 100 pips.
So, if I am not trying to trade each and every setup during the entire day, then I will wait for that juicy set-up, I load up, I go in, and take my 5 pips, and done for the day. Has to be that JUICY, best of the best, set-ups.

(backdrop, in my early days of trading, I personally met and shook hands, with a futures pit trader, and this is how he placed his orders on the pit floor)

We do have some retired pit floor traders here, and they can vouch for this.
Pit floor traders are different from us, they look at our charts, and they are overwhelmed, and they start learning our charts, like we do....

Hey if you folks are struggling, but you actually do KNOW why, but still struggle due to fomo or distractions etc...
and your telling yourself, "that's it, the next trade, I will follow my rules..." but we don't, for some reason, the cycle continues, week after week.

🤔 Just step back and hear what the common thread to all of what your reading here and out there.
Which is, study, learn, and controlling emotions.
Without this, doesn’t matter what strat you use, you will blow your account over and over again.
So how can you reset your mind, after all your blown accounts and losses?
Just take 5pips hard TP.
YES, 5 pips - Hear me out
or 4-8 ticks hard TP.

What’s the purpose of 5 pips a day or 5 pips per trade? or 4-8 ticks per trade?
So when you target bigger profits and get stopped out over and over again, what does that do?
You get shattered and disappointed and want to give up because all this is BS and a scam, right?
All your hard work in studying charts and your account is blown.
You feel depressed.
So the purpose of SMALL hard TP scalps?
It’s easier to predict and win at 5 pips, vs 20-50 pips, or easier at 4 ticks, vs 20-60 ticks

It’s a self esteem booster.
Confidence booster.

• Then once your mind is where you like it to be, then practice to aim for higher targets, if this is your goal. We are trying to get you back on the horse, so you DONT give up

I just follow my strategy exactly. The 3 screeners serve to guide me towards the trend. The S&O serves to give me more confidence in the entry points in certain aspects. Then use another separate S&O just for neo cloud and reverse zones, reverse zones at 3 and neo cloud at 1. Then use another S&O just for a neo cloud set at 3. Then use PAC with the number of orderblocks passed at 500, and micro structure at 5. then I enter when he makes a choch that confirms the character change and I follow it

so far I was only able to see it on the ukoil

i removed the indicators from the 6-chart ukoil

and copied them from the us100

now they are in sync with the 3-chart

even though I did not notice a difference in settings

I've just looked and reloaded the indicators with your settings and they syncing correctly. It may of been displaying your 2nd S&O indicator on one chart with mid term whilst displaying your 1st indicator on the other chart with long term. You can always click on indicator 'bring to front' to have that indicator display above the rest.

I'm glad they are all in sync now on the 3m chart

The reason they looked different on your chart was because it was displaying one S&O indicator with your neo cloud and mid term settings on top. Then on other chart it was displaying the other S&O indicator. I simply removed them and re-added them to your chart to get them to sync visually with your settings.

tbh no because i bought it at 2am while i couldn't sleep lol i have used alot of the free indicators and really liked alot of those, i have gone through some of the setup videos for a little while now, definitely have some more exploring to do. i have not tried backtesting yet, i am newer i will admit and thats one area i wanna dive into, i do really like the channels for that and memebers, and yes i am enjoying it so far! worth it for signals and overlays and backtesting alone lol

The trades I showed in the picture where I won 4 trades on one pair in one session in one day were great but it doesn't always work that well. I believe the strategy is profitable but pls don't think it always works so well. look on this trading day 2 losses and one win.

I refined the strategy a bit, added NeoCloud set to 3, and set the PAC to show OrderBlocks and CHoCH’s - BOS. Then when it hits the reversal zone, it gives CHoCH and the smart trail turns green, and NeoCloud green, then it’s awesome

obviously I wouldn't exit there 😆 the price is going down very slowly and when the smart trail turns red price rejects the midpoint of the premium zone in the price action concept indicator so I wouldn't exit the trade instead I would add a hotter position but if just follow the ruls from the staretgy as a begginer you could still have some profitibal weeks

I have backtested this strategy and in the last 8 days at nass100 and .risking 2% per trade I would have made +19% on my account. I had 8 losses and 7 wins but the wins are mostly much bigger than the losses. So you could improve the strategy by not trading when there is a red news folder and setting your stop loss not at the wicks but at the candle bodies of ll and hh when put a stop loss. on the best day you would have made 10% and at the worst you would have lost

@tawny tide I have been looking through your setup and was wondering (as there is no separate threat) if you enter in the red band you put SL at bottom of body of last LL, and wait until smarttrail swithes (on 4?), you exit at volume drop or (if there is no volume drop yet):
which is a 6R trade (more or less), however SL seems quite large, did you test with ATR band or other alternatives?

Tim, regaridng your strategy, think you need to add to avoid the super high volatility period, as I wa splaying with it, it loked like it actuallt was moving up..... , now in US30, 100 and UKOIL. All same principle. HOwever the stability needs to be returned before making a proper decision

Well, I'm looking for an orderblock indicator to run a simple backtesting strategy based on OB + Candlestick reversal patterns. I've found both in LuxAlgo script but I'm a bit confused. From one OB indicator to another I don't get the same OBs so I was wondering what are the differences, or if one tool is more suited for what I want than another ?

different indicators, different ways to calculate and plot an OB to the chart

That's what I'm interested in. Sometimes an indicator will fit perfectly what I personally would have drown as an OB, and sometimes it's completely different. Other times an obvious OB (for me) is shown on one indicator and not the other. Cannot find something that is consistent with my own interpretation which is why I'd love to understand how it works so I can eventually adjust my own framework 🙂

There are no "best"settings to be honest, it just depends on your trading style.
My best settings, may not be a good fit for you and your style.
For me, I use a 4H chart on BTC, would this be good for your style? if so, I can give you a little more info on my 4H template....
