You can change the settings on the chart after you created the alert, as the alerts will still be active on the settings at the time of alert creation

Hey micky Im playing around with the candle coloring in PAC and i noticed you had made some old posts and maybe you know how it works. Is candle coloring only based off of internal market structure and not swing? I read in docs it said internal, but i was wondering if its possible to get them to change by swing aswell

Hey there, PAC candle coloring based on internal only.
But you can change the length setting to be higher, up to 49.
49 will get you close to PAC swing structures, as the actual swing structures start at default 50 setting.
I also have and can show a higher TF PAC candle color, on a lower TF chart, just buy adding 2 sets of PAC.
I can go over this in the stream today, just remind me if you will be in today

By using Trading View's replay function. You would need to save your backtest results somewhere, could be as simple as using a Notes app or Excel.

Hey @old crow Sometimes I have observed that the price is trending in one direction while squeeze remains 100% and then it ranges while the squeeze is coming down. My understanding is that usually squeeze at 100% depicts consolidation and as soon as a trend gets established the squeeze starts moving downwards.

What I do is not use the squeeze at any giving point on the chart. When I feel that market is ranging and consolidating, that is when I will observe the squeeze for a potential move soon. For me, the squeeze is like an oscillator, goes up and down. So i will use the squeeze at the time when I feel the market is in a range.

Yes, I agree with you and that is the correct application for this oscillator. But what if the squeeze is moving down in a ranging market and remains at 100% while the market is trending?

Because I am also using it identify a potential move. But as soon as I apply what I see is that is already sitting at 12% or 13%.

This is up to you.
I have a handful of conditions, but I do not wait for all conditions to be met exactly, as the markets moves in a sporadic fashion at times.
Sometimes I wont take the Squeeze into consideration in making a decision, and sometimes I do.

I need some help figuring out how to set up multiple alerts for signals and overlays. Basically I want an alert that will go off when both the trend catcher and smart trails flip into the same direction (at bar close) so if one has flipped already no alert, but then when the second one flips, alert. I want this for both directions and then for mulitple assests (futures, i.e. gold platinum, ES...) is there an easy way to set this up?

Have you tried to set the conditions up? with custom alerts?
You would need to create 2 sets of alerts, one for bullish and the other for bearish set-ups.
as far as multiple symbols, you would need to create these alerts for each symbol.

I’ve been so frustrated with US regulations like PDT on stocks, high fees for crypto, can’t trade indices or gold, it’s like they only want us to swing trade. Anywho.. I live in California but I’m a Brazilian citizen, does anyone here know if it’s possible to open an offshore account with Brazilian documents and bank accounts but trade in the US? Hmmm, not sure.
There are many factors here, including your USA resident tax status.
Its best to speak with an accountant.
But I will say this, in my opinion, if you are not able to trade certain assets with regulated USA brokers, but are available to trade offshore, ask yourself if this is legal or not.

Just an opinion, but I would confer with an accountant.

FYI - I live in USA, and I trade futures markets on a regulated broker, and able to trade the commodities like gold, silver, oil etc. I also trade forex as well. Neither are subject to the pattern day trader regulations.

The opening range concept I went over in the streams is just a concept.
Not a complete strategy.
Just like in my streams I mentioned, you can continually take the entries until profit, you can target closer TP's, instead of going for larger TP's. You can also use a higher TF for a top to bottom analysis, trade the lower TF, in the direction of a higher TF.
This is true for all concepts, Each concept will endure great wins, and great losses. Each concept will endure trending periods, and consolidating periods. We just need to have a good foundation of trade management. For me, trade management solves most situations. I dont focus on wins or entries, I focus on trade management after I enter. Hope this makes sense.

For sensitivity of signals a higher number gives less signals, isn’t that really saying the signals are more specific and less sensitive.

Maybe instead of sensitivity it’s actually supposed to be specificity of signal, as high specificity equals less signals (sorry for boring stats 101)

Question about Volumetric Order Blocks: I see that sometimes, the shading and characters are the same as the dominant activity but sometimes they contradict each other. What causes this and how do we use it?

The top order block has more selling and the shading that extends right that also holds the volume and percentage are all red. However, the bottom block has more buying but the shading and characters (volume and percentage) are still red. Wouldn't they be green since there is more buying?

OK, so these are not defined directional internal activity.
Price can go either way.
You just need to interpret these, to be incorporated into your strategy.
This video actually explains one theory, as there are many conceptual theories on the use-cases for these internal activity.

• Not all rules or set-ups have 100% win rate.
• This applies to this concept, you just create a set-up, with your own interpretation. It wont produce 100% directional bias win rate, but you just need to interpret these within your entire strategy and how you analyze your bias.

Example, if an OB ahas more buying activity, vs selling activity, it does not mean price will either go up or down as a hard rule.
Price can go either way, at any giving time. You just need to interpret these to give you the best probability for your strategy.

• And you dont really need to enable this feature, if this does not add value to your template.

I have watched that video a few times. It has been very helpful. I always interpret the characters in red as bearish and the green as bullish (higher percentage adds weight to the validity). I know the volume can signal buyer/seller exhaustion but that only seems to be applicable if one candle is much larger than the other.

Hi there, the grey line is used as 'Highlight on Chart' to see where your alerts would trigger before you actually set an alert.

For example: I've got any bullish signals ticked. So as you can see on the grey line, there are blue dots where my alerts would trigger. So the blue dots appear on the chart but wont actually be in the alerts section until you actual set the TradingView alert.

This tool is great for designing custom conditions and seeing if they are triggering where you want them too before setting the alert on TradingView. Gives you chance to familiarise yourself with our alerts by visually being able to see where an alert would of triggered.

What alerts are you trying to achieve and what have you tried so far? so i can assist you further

Your welcome, when you state you are trying to create an alert from Neo Cloud. Are we talking in regards to getting an alert on Neo Cloud switches? or are you looking at more complex conditions such as:
Bullish signal produced
Neo Cloud is blue (Bullish)

If you see the picture i have attached, I've made a simple condition 'Neo Cloud - Switch up' so as you can see on my chart there is a blue dot on the colour change of the Neo Cloud which would of triggered an alert.

I implemented it this way, Bullish signal produced
Neo Cloud is blue (Bullish), and it worked. However, I want it to give an alert for less complex changes in Neo Cloud, such as when it changes from blue to red.

and I want to receive a notification when the alert occurs. As far as I can see, this gray line does not produce an alert notification.

No the grey line wont produce an alert notification, its just meant to be used as a visual aid to see where an alert notification would happen before setting the alert.

If you'd like to be alerted when the Neo Cloud switches colour. You'd need to create two alerts.

• 1st Alert
  Neo Cloud - Switch up

• 2nd Alert
  Neo Cloud - Switch down

You can simply create the first alert in the indicator then set the alert in TradingView using the 'Custom Alert Condition'. Then simply change the settings and create the second alert. The TradingView servers will remember the setttings of the indicator as per when the alert was created so you dont need to add additional S&O indicators to your chart.

Whatever conditions you have, the grey line is there to just show you that should you set some conditions thats where it would have given you a notification (alert). Helps people when they come to set complex conditions and are unsure where their alert will trigger.
