I had noticed when observing cl that it was on a 4 signal with an optimized setting of 15. Today the optimized setting changed to 11 & the signal changed to a 2 with an exit showing yesterday & lowered the tp/sl. I posted a chart of cl in the stock futures chat from yesterday so it will look different than it does now. Daily timeframe.

OK, so the signals on the current chart, with the optimal sensitivity settings are confirmed at this time, but when you view your chart later in the future, the optimal sensitivity algo, will calculate different signals at this point in time, based on the current price action that has taken place. SO as time moves on, there is new back history for the algo to recalculate for the current optimal sensitivity. Hope this makes sense. This is also the reason why the optimal sensitivity is very difficult and near impossible to implement in the backtesting systems that is included in the Ultimate plan.

After sometime, the optimal sensitivity changed to 12, when I update the value in the Signal & Overlays Indicator, the Strong Buy signal is no longer there

when reading an order block (see red arrow)... I keep confusing myself. (Seems I have to think backwards). On that order block, it suggests that the sellers are exhausted there. if it returns to that level, what direction does that potentially imply? there will be more buyers next time and likely goes up? and watch which way it goes out of the OB?

I try not to have a bias on OB levels.

hello i scalp the nasdaq on 5m, here to see if luxalgo can be a useful tool in that regard. I basically prepare my session based on where we open, how the market performed the last few days, map key areas and write down what I expect the market to do today, then reflect on that when the day is over. I will use luxalgo to really fine tune my entries and filter poor market reads, but my own analysis always comes first

@old crow the new Inversion Fair Value Gaps indicator is pretty nice.....except for one thing. It REALLY needs and option to show the FVG on the chart BEFORE the inversion happens.
Nice inversion about to happen here...but if i have already taken the time to draw the FVG so i can monitor it (or maybe an earlier one I forgot was even there) then the usefulness of the indicator goes down a lot since ive already done the work.

Seems kind of silly that it doesnt show the original FVG until AFTER the inversion happens since at this point I should already have found my targets and should already be ready to go if it creates an inversion...not just starting to look for hat stuff once it signals one.

I see the code that filters it right here....but my brain must not be working correctly today because for the life of me i cant edit it to make it not hide the original FVG.

Idk who to make the suggestion to have a "checkbox" in the settings to "Show original FVG before Inversion" and maybe even 4 total colors (2 regular bull/bear FVG colors and then 2 Inversion bull/bear FVG)

I have tried using PAC and using the original FVG on there to compensate the difference....but this new inversion FVG indicator is super clean and slick and i feel like it does a better job at "filtering" the smaller FVG out than the stuff in PAC

Yes, I like the OB/BB feature, which is the core of my 4H strat.
So making this FVG/IFVG would be nice, we shall see....cross fingers....

like i would do the green and red for a bull or bear FVG since that is the color scheme engrained into all of our heads for support and resistance....and then two other colors to signify inversions.

and then throw PAC on there you could run a killer mostly naked chart with just OB/BB and FVG/IFVG

like this isnt bad at all...but i would want that green to show from the moment it was made...not show nothing until the inversion happens because at that point you are "late" if you are hoping to play that inversion properly as you should have a plan in place and be waiting to see IF it will break

(I know you know what i mean....just trying to be extra clear 🙂 )

So in most backtest algo's the entry would be next candle open (whic is previous candle close)

Good for trends, but when your caught in a trend change, your profits can be wiped out. He uses 10 tick range. So each bar is 10 ticks in height, so how many of these 10 tick candles does it take for a trend change? 3 candles? 5 candles? If 5 candles, that is a 50 tick swing possible (maybe 25-50 ticks), profits wiped out. This is just my opinion.

So not sure, I guess if you practice enought, it can be good?

For me, I've used these types of bars back in the day, I just couldn't get the hang of it...
