You can use the free FVG indicator from Lux. FVG is an ICT concept, rather you use a paid or free indicator, hardly mattered.

Free FVG works pretty much the same. Even SMC from Lux has FVG in it.

There have been a number of requests on the user feedback channel regarding optimal sensitivity, which is understandable as it would make the user experience a lot easier. @old crow has pointed out that he is certain that as soon as this is possible to do on Trading View/Pinescript, for sure the Lux team would do it. I'd like to add a few things which may not have been obvious.

The signals (whether confirmation or contrarian) are meant to be used as trend confirmations (or exhaustion in the case of contrarian) and are not supposed to be used as entries and exits. More often than not, you will have to wait for a retest or pullback of some sort BEFORE you can enter. Depending on the volume/volatility and market structure at that point in time, it could be a shallow or deep pullback.

So these signals are meant to be used in confluence with other elements in the Lux Premium toolkit (overlays, price action, matrix).

One other thing which you guys may not be aware of, the suggested optimal sensitivity actually means something in terms of how quickly (or not) price is moving at the time. Here is a direct copy of text from docs:
Do you specifically want to trade shorter-term trends on the timeframes you use? Consider using lower sensitivity values such as 5-10
Do you specifically want to trade longer-term trends on the timeframes you use? Consider using higher sensitivity values such as 20+
Alternatively, you can use the default of 12 for trading medium-term trends. This provides simple and responsive signals.

What we can conclude from the above is that if the suggested optimal sensitivity is between 5-10, then that means the asset price is moving fast and you may want to go in for scalps. If the optimal sensitivity is between 11-20 then that means price is slower, then for 20+, then that is the slowest of them all.

The lower the sensitivity, it actually means that the algo is more sensitive to market movement and you will get the most noise and signals. The higher the sensitivity, less noise and fewer signals.

Last but not least in this essay (LOL) is that short term, long term etc is relative to the current chart timeframe. Using a short term sensitivity in the one minute timeframe may be a little too much, whereas the same sensitivity in the one hour may be useful for some day traders.

If you will just see smart trail just changed it course and as i have uploaded a strategy in pro strategy group with the break of structure on oscillator matrix it gave me perfect entry for 1:3 RR

It was a good quick scalp that’s why wrote it as ideal

You can always view different strategies on pro strategy page… it will help u and whichever suits u best u can go with it.. or even make one for urself backtesting the indicators

• Find a "mechanical concept."
  Not a subjective concept, this will come later as you progress.
  Find a mechanical concept that you like, don't force yourself to like something, that you don't believe in.
  A mechanical concept that has CLEAR rules, no ambiguity.
  Example (just example): When Signals & Overlays prints a buy/short signal, in direction of Smart-Trail, take entry in same direction on the re-test of the Smart-Trail.
  That's it, clear-cut rules.
  A mechanical-concept.
  Now study and test this over and over again.
  Once you get the hang of this,
  then you start to add a few more confluences, to subjectively filter out some entry's

I have a few emails over the weekend regarding how I use the Oscillator Matrix with Signals & Overlays and Price Action Concepts. Here is a chart that I have made a few notes. The key take-away from this is, NOT every single feature/trigger will align for my entry decision. Depending on the timeframe, I will use certain Matrix features for my emphasis on entries. Each Matrix feature has it's own "purpose and place."
Notice this chart, I do not enable all of the features on both the Signals & Overlays and Price Action Concepts.
I only enable the features that will visually help me with my analysis for a particular strategy.

• We can now take this to the next step:
  OSCILLATOR MATRIX - Using Mutli Time Frames

Trade the lower 15m TF in the direction of the higher TF 1H Matrix
I marked up the candlestick chart with correlating boxes to the higher 1H TF Matrix Turning Points

Now we study this to see how we trade the 15m in the direction of a higher TF trend bias (Matrix Turning Points)

Think where would you take some trades and where you would sit on your hands

• 15m TF Candlesticks
• 15m TF Matrix
• 1H TF Matrix

This is just an example to have you think like this.
You can use this same logic with any of your charts and indicators

Hey if you folks are struggling, but you actually KNOW why, but still struggle due to fomo or distractions etc...
and your telling yourself, "that's it, the next trade, I will follow my rules..." but we don't, for some reason....and the cycle continues, week after week.
🤔 Just step back and hear what the common thread to all of what your reading here and out there.
Which is, study, learn, and controlling emotions.
Without this, doesn’t matter what strat you use, you will blow your account over and over again.

• So how can you reset your mind, after all your blown accounts and losses?
  Just take 5pips hard TP.
  YES, 5 pips - Hear me out
  or 4-8 ticks hard TP.
  What’s the purpose of 5 pips a day or 5 pips per trade? or 4-8 ticks per trade?
• So when you target bigger profits and get stopped out over and over again, what does that do?
  You get shattered and disappointed and want to give up because all this is BS and a scam, right?
  All your hard work in studying charts and your account is blown.
  You feel depressed.
• So the purpose of SMALL hard TP scalps?
  It’s easier to predict and win at 5 pips, vs 20-50 pips, or easier at 4 ticks, vs 20-60 ticks
• It’s a self esteem booster.
• Confidence booster.
  It will solidify all your education and chart studies.
• You feel better that you control your financial success.
  Then once you start to do this on a consistent basis, increase lot size, OR target larger TP's.
• How many of you have lost trades after trades?
• When you lost, what was your target pip/tick size? Please think about this.
  Lets start fresh and just grab that quick 5 pips, or 4-8 ticks, a few times.
• This will make you feel better.
• Then go for the larger pip/tick targets when you are ready.
• This is not the only answer, but just another way to get you back on the horse and GET your confidence Back. That is all this is, it is not a complete strategy, it is just a way to get you back feeling better about yourself.

This should go in a "sticky" section of this discord somewhere. Trading tips channel or something lol. Mark Douglas had something very similar. find the system/edge. Paper trade it 20-50 times, then do 1 contract. Why because 1 contract is real money and the emotions are the same. Once you have confidence in your edge showing it works with 1 contract, you ramp up the contracts... Full disclosure, right now, I've stepped back to the paper & 1 contract phase with luxalgo. (Starting over in learning with new tools) Recently, Learned better trade management, and Mark Douglas items. Historically, I've made money but not consistent. The lack of consistency was frustrating. Luckily I wasn't YOLOing or full portfolio-ing things. My journey would have been faster had other mentors led with systems based on an edge and psychology. I have new confidence though, as I can see "the matrix" better with luxalgo.

Here is my 4H OB chart, with an overlay of Daily OB's
The dollar index has been nothing but Bullish for the longest time, thus we have the EUR/USD at a perfect inverse correlation during this same DXY bull run. But All trends come to and end, right? Notice my chart and where the Daily OB is below price, it is over lapping a 4H OB that was created early this year. For me, I will be very cautious on further bearish moves. We need to watch the bonds and currency news closely now, since FOMC took the DXY and the correlated pairs to the current levels. #news-forex

The entire NY session from the start, EUR/USD 4H price tagging the Daily OB and hitting a support (daily OB) for the time being.

I would LOVE to see this pullback into a 4H OB above, for a continuation to the downside.
This path may not happen, but if it does, I will be on alert

Take a look at the DXY Dollar Index, wheil we watch the EUR/USD

If the 4H DXY takes a pullback into its' own Daily OB (overlapped with 4H OB), for rejection to the upside, THEN YES, Ill be watching for the EUR/USD to make a bearish move into and bust below its' own Daily/4H OB's

ORRRR, maybe play a fib entry short, if there is enough room for TP to the 4H OB, make sure the reward (TP) is worth the risk.

That happens at times due to the way the OB gets mitigated on a lower TF, but not mitigated on the original 4H TF. In this case, draw/trace the OB/box on the 4H OB and have it globally drawn automatically on the lower TF

When there is a 4H OB on a 4H TF, but has not been mitigated by a closed candle, but maybe just wicked inside the 4H OB, but then on a lower TF like a 15m or 5m, there were candles on that TF, that actually closed and mitigated the 4H OB on the lower TF's

(Inside the 4H TF wicks, there may be some lower TF's closed candles in that 4H wick)

lets say i do one for bearish conditions in Signals and overlays indicator. I select the custom values i want to alert. I create the alert.

Once alert created. can i change the values for bullish signal afterwards and create a alert again or will the alert i created break?

Correct, after you create the first set of alerts, then you can change the alert settings and create another alert. So now you have 2 active alerts

The first alert will still be active on the original alert settings. It will never be broken until you delete it

FX is traded in each brokers exchange pool, and not in a centralized exchange. So this is something that comes down to personal preference. For me, I use Oanda as they are integrated in TV so I can execute trades direct on TV charts, and they also provide volume tick data.

This is the common set-up for multi time frame, top-bottom analysis. But you can also use other templates on either TF for your strategy as well, I actually mention this a few times in the LuxAlgo Live Streams. You can use PAC on your higher TF, then use Signals and Overlays on your lower TF....

Just a tiny correction to this - only select the check box beside the plus "+" symbols - that means you only want the Strong reversals. The way you have it now, you will get all of the reversals. Then you can create an alert using the Create Alert dialog in Trading View, and select Any alert()

🤔 Price Action Concepts Order Blocks - Breaker Blocks 😃
Anyone overwhelmed with Price Action Concepts PAC, with all the features and metrics? confused?
Whats the best PAC set-up? You can trade SMC, market structure & PAC, in so many ways.
There are so many strats with SMC/PAC. It can be overwhelming for sure.
I still am overwhelmed myself. You don't have to enable all, or most of the PAC features.
Keep it simple, and Concentrate on one SMC/PAC Concept.
Pick a concept that you like, and just concentrate on THAT alone. - Example, lets concentrate on the OB/Breaker Block strategy.
The 1st chart is 1H GBP/USD with 1H OB/Breaker Blocks only, disabled other PAC features.
The 2nd chart is the same 1H GBP/USD, but this time, with a higher TF of 4H OB/Breaker Blocks.
Add the Oscillator Matrix for ENTRY and EXIT trade management.

Well, I didn't trade it, but the little head and shoulders did play out. What's interesting to me now is the bearish overflow on money flow yet.. the recent liquidity uptrend that will want to be reclaimed and that spy is currently dancing with the bottom of a 4hr order block. Feels bearish yet lol. -- so the question will be what does it do with the strong low, and if that fails the next level down is the 418 order block. -- still stalking a bottom but trying to see what the story of the stock is telling me.
