I dont think you can use the actual signals from the Signals & Overlays within the Step sequences. You can ask and request this #🔍feature-requests

Just did a little test on a set up like this with a couple added things and it seems super powerful

@junior mulch after thinking about it, you can use the bar color value. Green candle = 1, Purple = 0, Red = -1. That can be a step. It may not be as precise as a confirmation signal but it is a confluence.

OK, but remember, ALL strategies will have losses, it is a fact. So the key is optimizing the wins and losses to a rate that you are comfortable with it, to manage each position....

If you like a strategy concept and if you believe in it yourself, then make it your own. This way you will be confident in making your own entry decisions, and you will continue to optimize it for yourself. But if you take someone else's strategy blindly and after 1 or 2 losses, you will be frustrated and blame the strategy and move to the next strategy. In my opinion, this is a long road...

Example, if I go to a store and buy coffee, most times, they come in cup sizes, small cup, medium or large cup of coffee. But if I want to get some sugar, it comes in weight sizes for me to buy.

When I discuss 10 pips, I am referring to trading forex. But yes you can use any of my strategies and other strategies for the stock market. I just base the small 10 pip to the ebb and flow of the FX market. If you want to trade stocks, this depends on the actual stock. Because if a stock value is $10, and another stock value is $300, and both increase but 10%, each one will have a different $ increase. Do not use 10 pips as a hard figure to emulate. I just like 10 pips because its quick and easy for me. So if I was trading TSLA and it is at $245 now, maybe a $3-$5 move would be good for me

Anyway, I think I have discovered ENDLESS ZIGZAG on 1 min currencies. FORMULA > NEO Cloud and Trend Catcher. You let EITHER of them to go to absolute MAXIMUM length. I don`t know if everyone gets it.

If there is Sell signal of Neo you let it run til next Neoflip but if catcher is still green you let it run til catcher gets flipped.

Bitcoin 1 min - It works perfectly! Good example here...NeoCloud is extended, then Trend Catcher is extended - You hold your position to maximum stretch of either of them. Obviously when both get to green you eventually buy and Vice Versa!!!

Yes…. With some strategies you cannot really count just on the confirmations signals… cause confluences (catcher, tracer, smart trail or whatever it is) can flip to the signal direction (giving confluences) after the signal shows up. So a signal you wouldn’t take at the moment you probably would take after few candles.

yep, i've been testing a version of @sterile cosmos's amazing liquidity trade, mainly charting on the 3m, but adding a 1m chart to find entries using fibs on the pullbacks (maybe limit order at 50-61.8%) of market structure shifts (BOS or CHoCH). market structure and fibs for entries on a lower timeframe is a good idea with any higher timeframe strategy, in my opinion.

I would recommend trying with a new clean chart and just using Signals and Overlays, to double check if it's a Trading View issue with caching and whatnot. That happens to me too sometimes. If it still happens, you do have a pro plan or higher with Trading View? You might be hitting alert limits.

I have tried a new layout but the same problem occurs. I have a Pro+ account with Tradingview. Tired to like to set an alert for Buy-Strong but unfortunately it does not work.

with other indicators it is enough to right click on the indicator and you can then set an alarm in the top window but unfortunately with the Signals and Overlays 6.1 I cannot select alarm after right clicking.

Nope. The thing about trading view alerts is that it saves your indicator(s) settings at the time of creation - it won't get updated even if you change those. If you change your settings, you also have to recreate your alert.

As long as it still functions properly on your charts, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I have the same glitch. It's something to do with the TV cache on your PC, still functions, the greeb/red locks comes and goes, but still works !00% of the time....

if you want your TP to be 15512.40 your SL needs to be above the current price for a market order. your SL is below the current price

maybe you wanted to put SL 15580 instead of 15480.

if you want SL to be 15480 and TP to be 15512.40 you need to put a buy limit rather than market execution

So major brokers like Oanda or Forex.com does have these "learning" sections to get you up and running. You just need to learn in FX, we call the price movements in pips, where in futures, they are called ticks

this is a rant so you can all tell me to go to hell, but here it is. Ive been trading a year and a half and still cannot make money. I use Apex because i don't have the money to trade. I pass the eval all the time then blow the account up. I dont get this, seems to me I'm missing something. Im tired of trying i guess.

To be honest, dont beat yourself up, because you dont know what your potential is.
Because you are trading with a prop firm.
Prop firms rules are NOT your rules that you created for yourself through trial and error (sweat and tears).
You are forcing yourself into someone elses box (prop firm rules).
Create YOUR own style, your own rules, and lets see what you can do.

As far as im concerned, forget about someone else's rules (prop firm).
Trade on your own terms, your own rules first.
Trade demo or trade with small contract sizes, in FX, you can get really REALLY small.

Just my opinion....because we dont know what you can do yet...

To add to what Micky says, instead of using money for the eval - find a good broker and use that. Next, gather data on your trades. It is really hard to objectively say how you are doing if you don't have your trade data, which should include whether or not you have followed your strategy/process in each and every trade.

Take it easy bro. Try to lower the risk per trades. For me, knowing I have a $50k account I would only risk 0.2% ($100) per trades allowing me to comfortably trade without worrying about Drawdown ($2500). That in mind if I lose 25 times in a row my account is blown but the odds of it happening is very thin considering I only take what the market gives me and don’t over trade (1 or 2 trades a day max)

Same way you will do auto trading with any indicator on trading view, by using alerts, and connecting via webhook to a 3rd party platform.

When an alert is enabled, it is based on the settings of the chart and indicator at that time. If after that the indicator settings or chart settings are changed, it might not alert signals.
