I'm testing Signals and Overlays to send webhook messages to capitalise.ai and from there transactions to my broker. So far I have been using these rules (both Long and Short strategies)

Entry with Custom alert:
- Signal: Any bullish(bearish) confirmation
AND
- Trend catcher: Up(Down)
AND
- Trend Strength: Greater than 25

Exit:
- Any bearish(bullish) confirmation
OR
- Bullish(Bearish) Exit

I have been testing this with BTCEUR (5 min), BTCUSD (1 h) and TSLA (5 min). So far the results are not good. Trades are losing one after an other. Winning like 22% of all trades. Any ideas what to do next?

Personally, I have found signals and trend strength to be kind of meaningless. Just my opinion. I don't believe in automating trades. I think it's much better to learn to read the charts. With that said, when you get a green candle, watch that the next bar moves to a higher price than the previous bar close, along with the Trend Catcher moving higher (not flat) and the Hyper Wave green. Same in reverse for a short.

I am very aware of the strategy, we trade it in my trade group that I own every single day on SPX in the morning and kill it as its a solid set up, but figured if people are mentioning some sort of set up with the lux algo stuff for it that they would be willing to share it, seems not though. I have been here with Lux for a little bit, LOL, so what helped me was watching and re-watching Lux videos, especially the Short videos, to give me ideas on the individual concept strategies I like, and created my own template with the features that work for me. I dont need to enable ALL of the features inside Signals and Overlays, just enable the ones that I need and help me. And Ive been trying to help others here as well in these Lux rooms....

I cant stress enough, Lux Short Videos, I have rewatched each of those many MANY times over. Because I may have missed something before, and now it clicks with me if I rewatch it....

So when I post my template like this everyday, everyone wants to know how to download it or show them how to create. But in reality, its just a basic LuxAlgo chart. It is Lux's creation, not mine. I just enable or disable the features I wont or dont want. Thats it.

Here is a good exercise for your charts and the asset you trade. Here is my chart with regular candlesticks on USD/JPY, the height of the manual drawn thin pink rectangle box is 10 pips, as I have the TV ruler next to it. Now move this 10 pip height box around the chart. there are 10 pips every where, every day, every minute. So in theory, it doesnt matter if you made the wrong entry in the wrong direction, the eb and flow of UJ will hit your 10 pips sooner or later, right?

Now I change to HA candlsticks and the odds are much more in my favor

This 10 pips game plan was not mine originally. It was meant to be 5 pips per trade, or 5 pips a day. There are a few legit traders on YT and their live rooms that do this repeatedly on certain assets, and I think one of them was EU, so 5 pips is doable, but 10 pips on EU not so easy. So I just changed it up a bit for 10 pips, because I am greedy, LOL, and find it works well with UJ

Im a little confused as to your notes on your charts versus your comments on this post. Not sure if you like HA with market structure or not. But I will tell you that I have never endorsed HA candles with PAC market structure concepts, as HA candles do not form the same way as regular candlesticks. Regular candles sticks provide true real market structure with liquidity grabs, CHoCH, Bos, fvg’s…etc

That is why I do not turn on internal or swing market structure with HA candlesticks. The open and close of a HA candlestick are not true open and closes. Hope this clears up my view on HA ….

Long term is very good, as long as your ok with the retracements on your asset. So not sure how your stomach handles that

Here is EUR/USD Auto Long Term on Daily chart, LOOKS great and you havent lost yet with this chart, but those retracements, yikes

Yep, I freak out pretty easily for sure, that’s why I have my support and resistance levels in place so that when the retracement breaks it and I am still in profit, I am out for sure !!!
And by using it on the 1,3,5 min timeframes, I get many possibilities through the day and even if I am 30% on top and don’t hit my target I am fine with it

So in you opinion, for quick scalps, mid-term is working fine for you ?

Hey there, and welcome. Your questions have alot of context within them. There is so much that goes on with these concepts like FVG's, timeframes, and settings. They all are, and can be very different for each specific asset. We are trying to find that happy sweet spot for the best optimal settings on oscillators, TF's for a particular asset. What can help lead you towards this sweet spot for yourself, is the following links to point you in the right direction, as I do not believe there is a black and white answer to your questions. I am also still trying and improving a few aspects of my template to find that sweet spot for myself.
