Here is just an example strat, Im not suggesting this, but an example. Take the Trend Catcher flip entries on this 15m EU HA chart, for hard 10 pip TP. Trade during London and NY. Take the flip entries and stop for the rest of the day until you are net 10 pips +

So if you hit 10 pips on your first trade, stop, you are done for the day.

if your first trade is a loss, meaning the catcher flip on you before 10 pip TP, then you close out ASAP and wait for the next flip, or you reverse it

Back test this everyday, only net 10pips each day and stop

Entry at the tart of the catcher flip.

Hello I trade both ES futures or SPY option. NQ is kind of too volatile for me. Size varies from person to person, and it's a personal preference, but ideally do not go over 10% of your account. I do not trade all day, if I do I end up giving up gain and overtrade. I am happy with little bit of profit. There is always another day, so why to fight with market.

I am not sure what signals are the strongest to use. I am interested in this FTM trade on 4hr / 15mins based upon 4hr OB showing rejection and I think bearish money flow - rough trade idea shown. I am learning the Matrix, it is still difficult for me to control the liquidity function, but I have noticed that the signal line shows the green dot when there is a confirmed cross in the stock or the macd, that is, it filters false positives, that It's incredible, I also use the biggest sell or biggest buy technique.

Not Micky but from what I have learned is that you have to back test yourself on those instruments you are interested in to see if it is worthwhile for you. Every trader has different risk appetite and management styles. Having said that Micky's strategy is very reliable in both directions. You have to follow the rules and be disciplined. I am implementing a rule, if pre-market doesn't reach 9 points in movement, then no trade day. Backtesting it over the last 3 months, it's a solid rule.

But we dont know if we are in a range or trend, until after the fact. but if you know your exit and close out trigger, then you are ok...

As long as you follow your rules on exiting or closing out, then that is part of the job

My strategy is very profitable, so I'm not worried.

It's 100% mechanical, so it's very easily backtested.

Analysing , trend catcher, tracer, trail and neo cloud.. Price is in obvious downtrend. Neo cloud, catcher and Smart trail all align in the same direction. Tracer however shows a bullish trend. More suprisingly, it changed to green once the price started to fall from previous high. Am I interpreting it correctly? need to change any settings? Thoughts anyone?

Each of the Signals/Overlays trend features, such as Neo, Smart Trail, Tracer and catcher have their own trend algo's. So not all are necessarily needed for price to trend in a certain direction.....That is why I just use catcher and tracer most times these days....

In my opinion....

Some of these may react well on certain assets versus others...

Just depends ...

That trend green lines is pattern formations such as a wedge in your picture, and yes, that pattern feature is within PAC

Hey no problem. The Pattern and TLL, is probably my favorite indicator feature I can add on to any chart, and not necessarily a PAC chart. I can also just enable those only with a Signals and Overlays template

I want to back test diff combos on a couple of assets. For example BTC and ETH and using combinations of tracer/catcher, tracer/neo... and so on.. Do you recommend any platform to easily backtest without a hassle of coding?

Maybe others can help with a 3rd party back test service. Just not me, I just manually eyeball my charts. If I start to get into software and algo's to help back test, its a deep rabbit hole that will be hard to get out of. It takes time away from me, in actual trading and improving my set-ups....I know it works for others, for me, just my eye balls.....

I would spend so much time in tweaking settings etc etc, but its just back fitting charts to past data, and when do I stop in tweaking, and actual do some real trading? I have this problem for myself.....

But Ill pay someone to do this for me? hahaha

I have not viewed episode 2 yet, but what I can tell you is, no strategy is deemed the "safest" strategy. It's up to you and how well you do with trade management to make any strategy consitently profitable.....

@old crow this sounds like a fear of losing money and simply put you can't have a fear of losing money if your going to take on trading. The safest thing is fond which indicators fit into your current strategy the best that's already profitable without the indicators and let them help you automate some of the looks and set ups and stuff with alerts. That's what I do

I got the new Price action concepts plugin to replaced the LuxAlgo ICT concepts plugin. I been struggling though, it seems to give me a lot off support and resistance signals that just overcomplicate my charts. Anyone had this experience or figured out a way to drastically improve.

Here is something interesting. We were chatting about my HA bar patterns, and also the Trend Catcher. Here is a bare EUR/USD HA chart past 2 days. I marked up all the entries and exits with circles based on HA patterns only, not bad at all if you held each trade until the next HA trend flip.

5 nice winners, and 2 small losses or BE.

Now we overlay the Trend Catcher only.

Now with the Trend Catcher as a filter, we have 5 winners, 0 losses.

Trend Catcher filtered out the 2 small losses/BE

Add the Matrix, to give you some confidence in the set-up

Ive looked at most the long ones, not short ones yet, and been playing around with settings. I wish we could adjust the buy and sell signals that show up on the chart the same way we can set up which ones we get alerted for, if that makes sense. So what we get alerted for, is all we see on the chart as well, wanted to really play with that, maybe you can but I havent figured that out yet lol

honestly its only really useful if you trade really large sizes ($500k+) because you only need a small few ticks down to make some serious bank and knowing exactly where unfinished auctions are or the imbalance zones is really useful / great for entries, for small accounts FP charts will just confuse the hell out of people / probably blow out their accounts because the data comes flying in at 300 mph

One issue I have with the ICT Price Action Concepts plugin is on breakout trades it constantly moves the discount zone with the candle so you are constantly considering closing your trade instead of waiting for the breakout to actually show you a reason to sell. This is definitely not helpful

The premium/discount zones are not like static levels or OB's, they are just fluid zones that mark the H/L's of the most recent swing structure, and the equilibrium is the 50% fib level

I was playing around the with the sensitivity and I found on shorter timeframes (1min, 5min etc.), 20 or so works really well, it's way more accurate than the dashboard says.

So definitely try it out.

Has anyone backtested price action concepts with signals and overlays ?

For signals and over lays I have trend strength as preset along with smart trail trend catcher and the autopilot enabled for signal sensitivity on mid term

For price action concepts all I have are FVGs and all CHOCH signals for internal and swing

On a time frame of 1 minute

I think backtesting PAC levels with Signals/Overlays would be a challenge as it's very subjective as to what would be the key levels that would or could be important to each of us....and PAC, SMC, and ICT has so many individual conceptual ideas and trade set-ups, it might be tough to backtest though....

But your template sounds very good though...

Well the way I see it is this way….I stripped PAC to its bare bones just FVG and COCH to confirm when there’s a shift and I use the signals and over lays mainly for entries and if it’s supported by the trend line and the smart trail it’s a valid entry and the PAC is mainly for more confirmation like if a bullish FVG prints and the catcher is green and the smart trail is blue also supported and a green buy signal we’re issued I feel like it would be a solid entry

At least on paper it sounds good

Obviously everything won’t happen at all once but there are multiple confirmations for the signals given and since the preset is set to trend trading it’ll help trade with the trend

See there was a CHOCH from red to plus the smart trail and trend catcher both went bullish and there was several bullish FVGs printed

This sounds good, But if one of your entry triggers is a choch, then in the last photo, you had a bearish choch half way into the long position, so would you have exited here? if not, then maybe the entry choch shouldnt be a entry trigger, right? We just need to be aware of the rules of your strat, and not back fit it to pretend we held onto the huge long move....just my thoughts...

We have to keep the rules of the strat honest when we backtest....so when you do have a good sounding strat with rules, then BOOM
