What you’re describing can be fixed by scrolling (if on desktop) to zoom, or right click and ‘Reset Chart View’

Looks like there's a few things. Better to not use presets and then select your overlays. And coloring can't be gradient. I'll be looking for when it'll be fixed for candles

Trading view can sometimes behave oddly because of how it caches settings, styles. colors, etc in memory. This is the reason why this particular bug is difficult to catch. That's also the reason why one of the solutions that works for most people is to open up a clean chart and start from scratch and reset the indicator settings. You can try opening and closing your browser or app, and try again.

are you asking if we paid for real time data? if so, you dont need real time data but the real time volume is a huge difference than if you did not pay for it... for example you can show 2k volume per minute but real time is showing 200k volume, with more volume shows more accurate data on trends and momentum. but if it has been working for you without using real time data, no need for it then

The LuxAlgo manual indicates that the order block metrics is based on volume data. So that is limited to the volume data for the broker you are using as forex is a decentralized market. If the order block metrics does in fact show bid/ask (order flow) vs volume up/down ratio data there is still no way to accurately determine buy vs sell because the bid/ask data include both market and limited orders (e.g buy market orders/sell limit orders on the ask). @thin trail needs to confirm, but I suspect the volume data will simply be volume up/down data because it is the easiest to get access to?

I would highly suggest not to leave job unless you are profitable for few months. Have a good saving for 12 months. Are you based in US? Having job entitles you to have health insurance which is quite expensive in US besides other employment benefits. Sometimes less trading is quite useful. You are not prone to do over trading. If you have all the time as a full time trader, you might endup looking at the stocks whole trading hours. This is a psychological effect. This is my view. It's upto you to decide which way you like to go. Hope this helps

No one really knows this answer for you as its a personal goal. Depends on your bills and your dependents etc? If you have no bills, and already rich, and no dependents, then yeah, quit your job. But if you have a family that depends on you and you have bills to pay, and your living pay check to pay check, then I would not quit

not timeframe related, it simply determine how sensitive the algorithm will be to short term, medium term, or longer term variations, with short term autopilot making the signal algorithm sensitive to small variations in market conditions.

I would suggest few things before you decide to leave your job and go fulltime.

1. You need to have atleast 6months to 8 months of capital - on which you can pay your bills, food, rent, school bills, medical etc etc
2. You need to identify yourself as to how much you can make on a monthly basis with trading without blowing/risking your entire capital.

Based on your answers to the above 2, you can make up a decision.

See, here's the thing, when you are on a 9 to 5 job, you can't focus on the extra side hustle/income you can make since you are so busy in your day to day job, that after coming home from work, you dont have the energy to do anything else.

But when you have your own business OR work fulltime on something you are good in, you will defo do much better than in a 9 to 5 job.

@dapper grove So, some information about me, last 2 years I have been learning programming. This year, probably in December, I will be back to my country with my wife. This week i will be have MRI for my back, some problem of them last 2 years and maybe i will be have disability for 2 months then i will be check is day trading for me, but i'm not sure somebody give me the disability for that. If yes it will be good time to try be a full time trader and will be more ready for back and start programming for full time 🙂

Mate but what about when you have a red ChoCh and almost immediately a green ChoCh above.. Do these nullify the other.. Or will the red play out first then the green one?

There are two types of CHoCH. One with the dotted, and one with solid line. Solid Green/Red should be treated as good support/resistance or target if it is away from the current price action. To get better confluence, you can look at higher time frame like 30m , 1h, 4h, Daily etc. and see where do you see the CHoCH solid or dotted line. This will give you a range to play, and you won't get any fake signal. And then you look at the lower time frame to see how the price is reacting around this level.

Hey Lux.. is there anyway of adding the old algorithm? in #📈futures-stocks-chat we had a few strategies that are dependent on the old algorithm and the new one changed the WR from around 85% to 50% or so...

I would highly recommend not to trade first 15- 30 mins. Signals could be flaky due to the volatility. Please try after 30 mins, if you want more reliable signal.

if you have an old chart layout you could use it, but we strongly suggest using v6. It's provably better & may just take some testing or slight tweaks to find a better setup than v5.3

hmmmm, I dont think so as that pivot osc is different from the norm, it takes a few bars after the initial signal to be confirmed on the chart, i dont want to use the term repaint or delayed, but that is the sole purpose of that particular pivot osc. maybe @analog onyx or @main summit can better explain this

Agree! Need to have 6-8 months capital to sustain yourself. BUT you should have cleared trading concepts, learned, tried and tested for a year at least to be confident to quit the job. Once you have really back tested for a year and are confident, then you'll be in a position to settle down with full time trading in 2-3 months of quitting job. This makes sense only if you have completely learnt on risk management, financial management, etc. This takes good amount of time to decide. This decision varies from person to person. Trading is a profession in itself and demands focus to be successful. And it is impossible to focus when you have a job with your corporate commitments on the other hand.
I say it's a personal decision - after a thorough assessment.

Hi Guys. I am new at luxalgo indicators however i see that they are great. When i see the three indicators how they work i just think that how have i managed until now without them:) Regarding a system to put together; i look for exit from reversal zone + wait for trade signal to pop out, + wait for trend catcher to confirm + see the candle colour to turn and lastly wait for confirmation from ultimate macd. In most cases i loose the most majority of the profit with this system. Could you please share your system foundations if possible or if ethical? thank you. ( also i look to forex ltf bots for my view )

You should be able to copy it if you have a paid trading view plan. If you have the basic or free then no, you wouldn't be able to.

It may be that you still have it. Browse through your layouts, it would remain as unnamed unless you rename them and you can have several of these. As long as you don't click save you can reload the old version.

I literally spent all day yesterday back testing and the best results I got was breakeven. This was using combinations of the indicators as well as them on their own. I wonder if anybody would be prepared to share a strategy that they are having success with either with the group or privately? I built in other confirmations with the back testing but still nothing better than breakeven, mostly losing. I would just like to be able to see something that works to prove that I'm not wasting my time. And before you ask, yes I have watched all of the videos 🙂 some of which were the basis of my back testing

To be honest, this is part of everyone’s trading journey and sometimes takes months and years for someone to finally click and have a winning strat. Here are some basic strats that helped me
