Use trend tracer rather than trend catcher for your bot, it catches the larger moves and less noise.

I don’t trade forex (don’t know the daily rhythm), but I trade stocks/options during NY session.

One strat I use every single day are Order Blocks from legacy overlays. I start looking for them after lunch, with 3 hours left to the closing bell. They act as magnets, and price almost always revisits them at least once.

When I see one with some decent width to it, I set it as a price target and watch for the move to begin. You get the best moves on days that have pumped or dumped in the morning session, but they can also be useful for shorter scalps when trading in consolidation.

You have to find the timeframe that works best for your ticker. I do this visually. Too many small order blocks on the screen? Zoom out.

After price has revisited the order block, I close the trade and ignore that order block going forward.

Looking at EUR/JPY, there’s a very high probability that price revisits 142.09 fairly soon, so if I were trading this I’d watch my other indicators for timing, and use 142.09 as my price target.

Another strat I use is with accumulation and distribution zones. I have accumulation set to green and distribution set to red.

In this screenshot you can see an accumulation zone in the middle, implying a price increase, but we also have an order block that needs to be revisited.

So after the price came out of consolidation it dropped down to revisit the order block, then continued back up to a price higher than the accumulation zone.

You can stick with PAC and have the features you dont want, turned off. So when you grow into higher and more complex market structure techniques, then you can slowly add these features back

Question for @empty solar or any of the other admins. I went to set up alerts off of PAC’s and premium and the alert gives a caution warning that the indicator can get repainted so what is the best way to go with this? I’d love to get alerts when the price touches the Order blocks so I can go in at that time. Is that possible or is it only accurate on certain time frames or what?? Please advise.

In this video you showcase the discount and premium zone. Question: how do you determine which time frame to base a decision on.

Lets say on the 5min. The price is in discount but on 1h, price is ripe for a short. How would you determine an entry in this situation?

That question is very responsible for my poor decision making at times using other indicators. One time frame might give me all the green lights but then a slightly larger time frame even just 15mins apart, is telling a completely different story.

Lets assume this is for 0dte’s/1-2 days

If you're at a high on a lower time frame and see it at a equilibrium at a higher time frame, then I would take the sell after price action confirmation. And vice versa for buys. But besides that I don't really use premium/discount since I use the fib for exact fib levels.

Honestly order blocks should be enough instead of using that. Too many times I see price just keeps pushing thru the, premium and discount areas it has marked. Maybe I'm reading them wrong so I just don't bother with it

The equilibrium zone is actually the 50% fib retracement from the most recent swing high (premium) and swing low (discount)

Your correct, when the swing structure starts to form at the swing high/premium, then it tries to find a swing low/discount, but if price keeps going down, the swing low/discount will keep moving down until it forms the actual swing low, by retracing back up towards the fib 50% which is the equilibrium

Here’s a suggestion. Have an mtf style “box” that simply shows ✅❌ when tracer and catcher are green or red

This makes the checklist faster and also declutters the actual chart.
scenario:” hmm whats the trend tracer saying? Oh its green in the mtf box. Cool” And of course always leavjng the option to have the line draw on the chart itself

And this could apply to EQ cloud, neo cloud. Each one indicating if the current candle price action or average of last 7 bars is green or red. Blue or red etc.

a work around is to use the fib tool, equilibrium is the 50% fib level, so on and so forth, have all your key fib levels to show where price is at inside this swing high/low range

Also be aware of 2 things: using Heikin Ashi candles will affect the signals and be incorrect; second, a signal is confirmed upon candle close. Better to confirm with PAC or Premium overlays to determine if a retest or retracement is in order.

Every price action movement does not translates to a trend change, but it does translate to smart trails shape changes.

You literally took a sell signal blindly into a "reversal" band. Watch Gecko's vid. There is no such thing as "fake" signals. Signals can plot on every single bar, up to us to interpret which one we should take. Top down analysis...

(and your trading crypto, for this, you "really" need to be ON your "game" during the weekends...)

In general, you take a sell signal when it occurs near the top channel of the reversal band, and vice versa, the examples you've shown are sell signals in the bottom half of the reversal band zone... AND, your on a much dangerous lower timeframe at 5m, this, in combination of crypto, in combination with weekend, is a recipe for rekt....

I was reading on a daily tf. On a 15m tf, it does look like there are some red STRONGs before event.

Though, on the 15m tf, it looks overly confident on the downtrend to be turning into an uptrend (green STRONGs) which is against the sentiment. I have other confluences to potentially save me but I am trying to see if there is a way around using other indicators.

It really depends on confluences. The problem is of a quality execution mechanism in a consistent way. I try. 🙂

if one knows how to interpret, the bottom indicator that I use helps a lot.

It is a put-call ratio oscillation on a daily tf. greens are puts and reds are calls. An increase in puts indicate a market sentiment / shift is underway. Usually it means, the market is about to go in the near future:

bull -> bear -> bull

OR

bull -> longer bear -> bull

It would be really hard go wrong this way. Other confluences can further help, like implied volatility, derivative order flows, so on.

so, any way, I would like to know if there is some configurational change that I can look at to optimize my scenario.

I usually prefer 15m chart when I am in an opportunistic daytrade mode, else, I end up setting my alerts on a daily tf and when they come, I shift into that daytrading mode

Too many things in life atm to actively hunt for day trades every day. Though, it is absolutely true that there is at least 1-3 good opportunities every day.

I stick with stocks and derivatives (idx, stocks, futures).

Candlestick pattern if you see its a hammer after a sell off, if the prices refuse go to below the low then it's a potential bottom but i would use for rsi divergences, fib projection to see if it really bottomed out. Also adani breaks the hammer high and trades above it whatever reason it may be

in times of sufficient confusion, I just have to go fundamental analysis, which apparently would have helped.

top is increasing IV showing panic, bottom is p/e multiple which was bonkers relative to what is the yearly forward p/e.

basically one would do anything but long that stock at that time.

Short sellers had the time and money to do the research and just dive right in. Short seller retailers would have been able to ride that very easily, A lot did, I just do not know if p/e was their focus.. coz it helps not just in entry.
