It is probably using another unit. If you check your trading view chart and check each candle for example, you will see that the volume for forex majors are similar, though admittedly yen pairs tend to have a lot more volume.

It was making a lot of sense and working as I would expect.

Even better than just using blue streaks.

a general suggestion would be take everything with a grain of salt... learn why would someone disable an option (e.g. not useful, alternates, influence on timeframe, trading style, trading setup, TV layout)

If you are talking about Lux's backtester, it is in closed beta and is only available for Lifetime members. The membership for Lifetime closed last November.

According to the Lux team it may take 6 months or more to be released.

I trade long ago SMC, but the SMc tool it is very powerful in order to reduce the human mistake not marking relevant zones.

The thing it is, some of the blocks even having high "volume" are not respected, and sometimes the low volume are respectes, due to, wouldnt be posible placing trades in all the blocks, because you would need a High RR, i have to find a filter to use properly the strategy

Orderblocks, Support and Résistance are very powerful, OFC the Price dont reach this lvls all the time and you have to learn to read the market, keep more indicators in your Strategy, you need confluence to open a trade like, demand and supply, candlestick pattern, fibonacci retracement, ema crossover, RSI or something to understand what the market doing right now and so you can improve your winrate

or other strategy. Many config, we can do 1000´s of configurations, and I know some people would tell, loose your time and find the best for your, but the best for me would be a profitble one 😁

The OB at the SMC indicator, rarely are respected, i been doing testing in M15, because when i trade price action i usually use this filtering M1 entries.

But probably overcomplicating my self, that why me and others for sure are looking for something easier, with lux algo, and just guiding or mentoring, to go faster than using the infinite config Lux algo has 😊

I use rsi in a very different way, traditionally above 70 is more overbought and 30 oversold. I trade differently with 60 40, anything above 60 on daily, weekly and monthly is a established long trend and i avoid shorting and look for buying more on the dips. Anything below 40 established short trend on daily, weekly, monthly and i avoid longing and add more lots on the retracements

Also i use a range shift concept but that gets more complicated unless it is backtested

but the free trial mode is good enough to find your trading style and for some experience so i would say no you dont need to upgrade

I use the RSI that way as well with the 60-50-40 levels. It is a momentum indicator as stated it's its name and works wonders on all time frame. RSI is showing where the market strength is headed. You can get amazing retest entries at the 50%. You'll notice that a lot of pivot retest will show RSI rejecting the 50. I don't use the lux algo RSI though

As soon as Rsi closes above 60 and beyond 40 that's when the upside downside momentum catches up. I also look for bottom fishing when the rsi takes support after a down move and when 60 resist after a up move then it's a strong sell

When the rsi goes beyond and the next move takes support at or around 40 it's no longer bearish vice versa when rsi goes above 60 and comes down back and resists at 60 it's no longer bullish

hello everyone . i have just joined luxlgo.. and i am trying the smart trial strategy given by gecko on youtube channel. but i am struggling with the contrarian signal exits .. would really appreciate guidance if someone is also testing it..

I bought first time this indicator for a month and to be honest, I really liked the effort that the developers put into this so I decided to upgrade for 3 more months, one month is gone and 2 more are left to go .. but when it comes to the profit part or trades I am not so happy, I tried a lot of things that meet my requirements for my daily trading and it seems like 8/10 times I get faked out and I don't understand how when I also compare higher timeframes before entering in a trade and also I compare with 2 more indicators if anyone has a profitable scalp forex strategy with this indicator I am waiting to hear it.

@violet coral @fallow jasper Trading does take quite big learning curve and you just simply can't follow blindly without any deeper understanding on How things actually work. Lux does provide tools, but execution needs to be proper. Don't expect to join lux and make 100/100 trades. Learn, develop, ask valid questions. If you want to be trader - you need to invest A LOT of time and follow own defined strict rules, otherwise you will be screwed quickly and that will be your fault, not lux ones.

Dear Gecko, I have a question:

Let's say gold price is 1920 and there is an order block at 1928.
The order block has metrics showwing 33% and the red bar in order block (Bearish) is larger or you say it is double in size than the green bar (Bullish) in order block.
Price come up to 1928 and touching 1928 where the order block is present.

What should I make an analysis that the price will go down after touching this order block or it may go up? (Red bar in orderblock is larger than green bar in that order block).

Hello, I am new to LuxAlgo. Just bought premium a few days ago. I was backtesting strategies and was surprised to see what looks like repainting to me. Can someone take a look and see what you think? I have a video here you can see where the SELL signal pops up for 1 bar then disappears, and another then pops up for 1 bar then dissapears. The final SELL signal that stays printed is in 2 more bars from the last SELL signal that disappears.

Would like to hear an explanation that makes sense as to why this would happen and how to handle this in real time trading.

Signals can pop up on your chart but that doesn't mean they are confirmed yet, signals are confirmed once candle is closed and the next candle has started . One simple way to handle that would be to wait for candle close in real market before entering any trades, along with other analysis.

then you should develop your own style of trading

have a good entry approach and a good exit approach for any deal

its normally a good idea to take profits partially as a trade happens

the use things like trailing SL and trailing TP to help max profit

dont be greedy. do many many trades

manage your exposure and margin at all times

keep part of your trading fund in liquid cash to bail you out if your book sees stress

macro conditions for example yesterday with Powell can cause big moves in things like gold XAUUSD

but these are difficult to trade on

as market sentiment can work against technicals

make sure you use the economic calendar. I personally choose to work against it. When there i news, I trade less which allows me to focus on technicals

crypto is an odd one

i dont like to trade it. There are easier ways to make money

crypto only has non quant easing working for it

however it has no underlying asset class

the result is that it does inversly work with fiat even if nobody admits it

the only reason crypto would be useful is if you want to convert and move money freely without banks being able to "see" what your doing.

To move money by fiat is difficult due to banking policy

remember a banks customer is their goverment not you.

look at the origin of the first bank and why it was made

nothing has changed.

then you have no idea what groups are market makers

and when they work together the market moves

Just watched the new video on YT about a simplified method to look to at price action. If I set alerts when price cross down the premium zone and cross up the discount zone just as heads up looking for confirmation in your opinion would be a nice thing to do?

@ Admin: Trend catcher colors only red or green. Some backtesting has shown that it would be very helpful to show a neutral color as well, when markets are going more sideways rather than really trending.
