Have you tried to enter your personal trading strategy into the BackTest? Then with the results, you can make adjustments to make you a better manual trader. If you dont have a manual trading strat, i'm not sure if a Backtested strategy would help any now? Because it's still in beta and maybe months down the road for full release, then there's the hurdle in sending the strat alerts to a 3rd party service (3 Commas, etc) to execute the trades in your brokerage account that is compatible with 3 Comma's. just IMHO....

There are many manual strats that use "counter" trend techniques, and many use "with" trend techniques...

Maybe take one of these great Backtested counter trend strats, and Trade it manually with LuxPremium, because LuxPremium has a counter Trend (contrarian) mode. Maybe this is the key...

well it just correlates with ranging markets more… when markets are not consistently trending cleanly, you’ll find Counter Trade Mode perform well

It’s similar to how Contrarian Signals in the main script will catch exact tops/bottoms during ranging markets… but perform poorly in trends

I think I understand what you're saying but then you say counter trade is synonymous with contrarian. That's not the case, at least not how it's implemented here. It is the confirmation signals flipped upside down. These trigger further along the impulse. Which is why I'm confused they can work better than regular confirmations even during ranging market.

I think Lux algo's 4 indicators are very good.
Put a lot of things together, and I think I can get a lot of help.
Experts or people who have used it for a long time have their own way of setting it up.

But I'm just a Newbie, so each and every one of them is so difficult. T_T

I've seen the shorts video and guidebook provided by the lux team, but I still don't know where to use it.

Do you have more reference materials such as actual application videos?

Although each person may use it differently, it seems that the actual application example is better than the explanation of the indicator.

Example)

• Example of how to set up

1. Set the premium setting as the default, and only the sensitivity was changed to "10".
2. check on reversal zones
3. oscillator is Ursi.

• trading method example (this is one of the methods I use)

1. The candle penetrates the bottom of the reverse zone.
2. At that time, RSI indicators come around 30
3. After that, attempts to enter when close is green candle
4. After entering, liquidation proceeds according to the Buy/Sell signal

• This method cannot be used when the trend is strong. (Must be SL line)

I wish there was a place or video where I could share the settings and trading methods of lux like this

Hi guys, I am new to trading. I was using the free Smart Money Concepts and was successful on a daily just using order blocks with RSI. It was just easy to understand it. I then upgraded to premium and now I use the Price Action concepts while taking a TA course. Now I am starting to lose and have bad entries because maybe I am trying to use a lot of TA from what I am learning. Or my initial success was a beginner's luck. I wanna go back to using order blocks, but I think I have a lot of noise (knowledge) that I didn't have before about other indicators. Can someone point me to a resource to understanding the nuances of order blocks, please? Also, any advice would be very much appreciated

Today if you traded live was a volatile day in the first part, then volume dissipated fast. It takes time to get the timing down, and then to understand the market you are trading. Have you used the demo feature on TV? Start from there and practice your timing as price approaches each order block. Remember the equilibrium zone needs to watched b4 u get in the trade. When price moves in that viciinity it tends to consolidate as the area represents fair value in price. Might be easier to trade either the undervalue or overvalued zones. well its more than just one confirmation. I use trend, order blocks, if those order blocks are in undervalue or overvalue , along with oscillator for momentum. Those do help as an added confirmation tho..

Yes indicators work on every time frame, but you can filter out some iffy trades if you use top/bottom analysis ....... just a tip, to help.....

I like it, remember its purpose, when you are visually backtest past days or hrs or minutes, all the signals are 100%, but in real time, it suppose to repaint as it should due to the nature of the theory itself. But you can use the real time signals as confluence with your strat. I would not use the signals as your #1 entry, use it as confluence....I like it though...

I do test on demo too, but I don't usually do a whole lot of tweaking within settings for indicators. I have found LuxAlgo default settings to work for me

yes this is true, specifically tho, I just tweak a little bit. I'm not necessarily involve with the backtesting part of the indicator. If I back test, I'm doing it in demo or I get small assets live and test that way. I mainly trade Nasdaq 100 futures

I've traded it live, and in two days of using the indiator I'm up $1500. you can see my post in the profits-and-testimony part of this group. I'm saying that's typical, but I guess I mean, it works for me. Mainly using PAC (price action concepts) part of indicator, order blocks and volume profile parts. Its really awesome and highly accurate right out of the box. I'm trading lower time frames from 1min to 5min, and markup on 15min and 30min

can't really say. I trade nasdaq 100 futures on the 5min TF and the default settings work for me. You might be trading USD/JPY 15min chart in the Asia time frame. I would think it would be different than mine. So there's different factors that go into it. Best way to find out is to test it yourself in demo and how you trade based on the market you trade.

I’m able to set it with the dynamic levels but not without the dynamic which is my preference, is there a way around this or maybe in the future

I also tried setting it directly on the chart with the little plus + sign on the right side of the scale but it will only set divergence alerts instead of a level alert
