there are only two outcomes in trading, winning and losing, long and short, ive re coded a "popular" pivot trend indicator to do the opposite when buy/sell commands are given

the original code gave a profit factor of 26.45, obviously that gives us 73.55 loss

so if you literally fucking flip it you go from 26.45 to a profit factor of 73...

The thing is you'll have trades going wildly negative; big big drawdowns and it's not sustainable as there's no real logic. The tester doesn't include fees too

YES, I think you are right. If you have 2 or more signals, you have to use Filtered Signals under alert in Tradingview, but with only a single signal, like the Trend Catcher, you can go direct to the alert section of Tradingview and select it. hey there all, I joined a few days ago and have to say the amount of tech rammed into three chart add-ons is insane. It's just incredible. I know my next statement will be frowned upon by many new paying members. so i apologise in advance if it offends as that is not the intention. The tool and tech is massive, I would love it to pre set my charts and make me money daily (if only). Now, it may make money for us in the long run, but like anything in life we have to put the hard graft in to get it to work for us. Just because settings may work for one individual does not mean it will work for someone else. Trial, error test, test and retest is unfortunately the only route for us to be comfortable with settings that ultimately we have to alone standover and invest our own money in. I wont ask for settings or the perfect set up - as how can anyone advise me? I will however as questions and ask for advice and hopefully learn from others and then hopefully pass knowledge on to others in the future. I have spent the last two days reading about all the settings on website ( amazing info) and watching the brilliant videos (Hat tip to the content team) Please note I am a brand new member and the post is not meant to offend but only to advise. Im also happy to test ideas and strategies with anyone else. Cheers all.

i thought being patient for the "Strong" signal would have benefited more

you just happened to enter at the wrong time now

you'll get accustomed to it along the way

also, allow me to teach you a trick

take my Cosmos for example

see all those strong buy?

I only look at them as confirmation of a trend, because each one pushes the prices higher than the previous

but never enter a deal when they occur

I enter deals when price touches or goes below the Tracer

when I won't be seeing the sequence of STRONG SELL and STRONG BUY in exactly that order, it means I'm approaching the end of the trend, hence stop taking deals

but again, I never trade the next candle after a STRONG signal

in your particular case, there was no such thing

plus, a trend is confirmed by at least 2 following HH or HL for bullish and LH and LL for bearish

you were a bit too anxious, that's all
