@low shell @elfin reef @lilac solar i Hey guys, I have done most of the things mentioned by you guys, working with @lilac solar , and i was gonna wait until it was live longer - i have a few instances of it on a Toptsep combine, but just saw you guys checking out the initial version, and figured may as well. I cleaned up a few things. UI should look like this now (image).

For others, to be clear, this is a Pinescript strategy, not a LuxAlgo indicators strat.

I do not recommend putting it on real or eval money unless you already know what you're doing. The tests after these updates are even better, even on 15 or 1H! I / we are all ears to issues and factors that could contribute to it being too good to be true results but I've fixed some of those bugs mentioned which rules out a few!

I've added Session filter toggle to trade all hours or the one you set.
Exclusion Window to exclude hours.
Bugs fixed / improvements - most or all the ones mentioned.
Active inputs to gray out settings not used due to another setting's selection.
Added 2 ticks slippage default.

So far it's traded YM, NQ, and MGC on Topstep eval friday. Of course we need more than half a day's data but it did well so far. I use TradersPost, set to use market orders for entry and exit. I have not compare the exact times of the signal's orders versus the execution to look for delays, which could be an issue. But i will at some point.

Chart test example is MNQ but it is testing well on many assets.

In short, you now have the option to configure the originally predefined settings such as EMA, lower timeframe period, ROC, contract size, etc. You can also set the exit point to be based on volatility according to ATR instead of ticks. I've also added a cooldown period option. This prevents a new trade from being opened immediately.

My basic idea is this: Since the entry logic seems to work well, at least in the presented GC, I would write the strategy as an indicator and use it as the entry system in the S&O backtester. This has the advantage that I can also configure all exit options. Additionally, I can incorporate further filters such as trend strength, other indicators, and of course trend tracers, etc. Alerts can also be easily configured this way.

Hello @lean drum @lilac solar Reviewing the trades and observed something interesting in TV.. the way tradingview calculates the profit doesn't seem to be correct. Below screenshot shows there were two trades showing the entries at the end of 15:10 candle and 2nd one at the end of 15:55 candle.. but in the strategy section-> list of trades, the entry time is registered as 15:10 and 15:55 . Based on the arrows showing on the candles, entries should have been at the end of the candle close and not at the begining of the candle .. correct? not sure if I am missing something, so just want to check on this

This is correct. The orders should be at the candle close, not open.

Seems like a glitch, I have not experienced this at all. Try saving your settings, deleting it, then put it back on and see if it fixes it. If not, we'll come back with other potential solutions.

That was a speculation of a few viewers, but that ultimately fell apart.
it was theorized that the 15m has not closed prior to the trades, which they were. The code ensures this. Although, it's still under review.

As I mentioned, this code is not perfect. However, this strategy is currently under development.

The backtested results that we have currently are as realistic as we could possibly make them. They follow the TP, SL, and trailing logic.

With numerous live executions and backtested candles verified, the only way to truly prove its effectiveness is in a live account. Which we are doing starting Monday.

Hi,

I’m honestly not understanding the point of the AI agent/backtester.

No matter what I ask for, the strategies it returns take huge adverse excursion (massive floating drawdown) before closing — both on winning and losing trades. For example, I explicitly asked for a max per-trade loss / MAE limit of $1,000, and it seems to ignore that completely. The strategies can go far beyond that unrealized loss before they exit.

Am I missing something important about how your AI agent works or how these strategies are executed ?

Is there a way to force a hard per-trade max loss / MAE constraint (like a real stop) when fetching/generating strategies, or at least filter out any strategy that violates it?

im coming across the issue that the ai is limited for its database when asking for strats 1.3 + on NQ on the 5 min when tested across whole year dropping to around 1.1 territory. so the data its based on is kind of cherry picked

Congrats... I notice you have the Price Action Concepts twice on your layout... Wanted to understand the reasoning for that... Do you have different settings for each? Have you shared a tutorial for the settings you use for that indicator? I am on GC for 2 min but do not see the Higher Highs notation etc. Thanks.
