Serious tilt set in when I saw the market drop a further 800 points. Chased more ended up with less. Still a green week but definitely a tough lesson. Another reason is, automated strategies are more consistent with risk / reward and they won't hesitate or revenge trade and tilt.

So the risk is better managed.

yeah. for me, it was in my 4th year of trading i implemented better discipline, patience and psychology into my trading. i took 78 trades in my live cash account and was in profit. because i opened each position with the same stop loss and take profit

my win rate was very high but if the risk is not managed, the math cannot make you profitable.

i still prefer algos for these issues now unless i can be completely free during market hours.
