Sold my synths and drum machines to learn and worked freelance. Any how on the left is sum contracts volume footprint. It’s Globex so 1500 contracts is the footprint size. Right side is delta footprint and execution.

Left side rolling avwap and right side pivot Avwap. HTF Price action concepts and osc matrix are my key levels. RtH order blocks and fair value gaps are qualified because there is participation. Most of the times a Globex sweep takes place because the OB or the FVG formed is flimsy…ie participation and no commitment.

Globex is not settlement and they shouldn’t be confused. Vwap works with volume so having that data is important. Previous Day settlement and previous session settlement provide cues for trading in a thin market. One way to beat the algos is to “see” their logic.

from what I know, it is end-of-day DD, not daily DD that trails

so at the end of the day, the dd is $1250 from your current balance, so each day you gain more profit, this $1250 is the DD behind the end of day accout level, But if the following day you account is down, you are then closer to the $1250, as it doesnt move, your DD is getting closer to your current balance.
I know I am not explaining it properly, told you I am not a prop expert

ahh i see so if you have a 100k acc with a 3k Max Loss Limit then you can't let your account drop below 97k. Day 2 if you were to make 3k bringing your total to 103k then you can't let your account drop past 100k. Then day 3 if you make another 3k bringing your acc to 106k then your MLL is locked still at 100k. So it never moves above your initial starting balance

• my stop order was rejected -- this is very dangerous
• slippage (huge stop loss, smaller take profit)
• larger delay in execution
• orders can be cancelled, ignored, rejected

You can set up a Canadian corporation and have the prop firm pay that corp, the income can qualify as Active Business Income.

Meaning, it gets the Small Business Deduction: taxed at ~12–15% corporate rate (varies by province) instead of humongous personal rates.
You can deduct legitimate business costs (software, internet, home office, trading education, equipment, etc.).
Pitfall: Personal Services Business (PSB)
If you only work with one prop firm, CRA could argue you’re basically just an “incorporated employee.”
In that case, you lose the small-business rate, most deductions, and get taxed more heavily (close to 40%).
But you can prevent this by working with multiple prop firms (e.g., Apex, TakeProfitTrader, etc.).
That'd make it clear you’re independent, running a real business, not disguised employment.
If you pay yourself all the money immediately, the personal tax kicks in and cancels most of the advantage.
The real benefit is deferral: pay low corporate tax now, reinvest profits inside the corp (grow capital, buy assets, expand trading).
You only pay personal tax later, when you eventually take money out.
You could also do Income splitting to get into a lower tax bracket. If family members actually help in the business, you can pay them (within rules) to lower the overall tax bill.

really need to move on from traders post. i made 200 automated strategies over the past year and traders post messed them up all the time 🙁

traders post is not good. nothing wrong with my strategies. its just errors like this, open and close and result in losses (on demo). I have it set up correctly. it works for a few weeks and then breaks (traders post errors)

Traders post is broken because my strategies look solid on the charts

If they worked i could of switched my job now

I even used outside indicators to test as well

I have over 200 alerts I disable them and keep the ones I make most recenyly

What i learned:

Building automated strategies made me pay attention to even finer details of best entering and exit positions

I tried TradersPost but it's cooked.

I got a tool build with some python that would click buttons on TopstepX .. It was some trial and error along the way. Right now it also checks the div for open orders, doesn't open a trade when there is one open already, give the trade a SL/TP already to make sure it's instant, etc etc.

There is about a 1s difference between Tradingview alert firing and trade executed on Topstep.

And that's before the API was introduced. I still have to upgrade it, but with the TopstepX API that should be <1s execution. Also less prone to fuck-ups.

In my early days I had the tradingview alert trigger 10+ times(account gone). I had alerts fire and opening wrong direction trades.

Right now my biggest struggle is naming my layouts and finding them back. The emoji's on tradingview really help a lot. But my entire layouts-tab is filled with fucking emoji's and weird ass names now.
