Really depends on the criteria that you can best cope with. Every prop firm has upsides and downsides. You should choose based on the negatives

Usually TPT is quick with payouts. Heard that it‘s even quicker when your bank is US-based. Usually you can continue trading like normal.
And yeah, they do pay.
Nice thing about them is that there‘s no Consistency Rule in place after passing eval.
Beware though - even though there is an EOD Trailing Drawdown during evaluation, drawdown mode switches to intraday after passing.
Also, to get your first payout you need a buffer equal to max DD. If reached, you can withdraw 80%

Correction:
Only after (ex.: 50k Account) reaching 52k you can then withdraw the excess.
Balance of 53k - 52k = 1k * 0.80 = 800 dollars

Buffer zone can only be withdrawn if the account is terminated, so not lost money but not immediately accessible

These prop forms are good. I never tried them, as I don’t need to fix what’s not broken. They never existed when I started trading and they just recently came onto the scene.

Pros/cons

The con for me is, too many rules that change monthly. Not worth my time to master a set of rules, then they change it 1-2 months later.

The pros, their money I get to use.

The con, I don’t get 100%

So up to each trader to see if it is a fit for them or not.

I may try, just to try.
But it’s time spent away from my cash accounts

Yeah, this is a complex decision.
But once you make it, learn it and master it.
I totally get it, if a trader does not have any funds to trade at all.
Then of course prop firms are a good way to get into the game, but the goal should be to build up enough cash, to move to a cash account eventually. Because in reality, prop firms may or may not exist next month/years. So take advantage of them while you can, but the goal should always be, to build up to open your personal cash account.

I’ve spent years losing money in the market every which way. I was super discouraged. I came across prop firms in the lux discord and was able to get involved again. Not profitable yet, but they’ve allowed me to work towards something while zooming out to learn and find the right path. Otherwise, I might still be losing my own $ or not even trading anymore.

For me, in the past, I have traded on a paper demo account on NinjaTrader and Tradingview for 2 years straight, this was my version of prop firm account, helped me learn how to trade a real live cash account, same rules on paper demo that I have moved to my cash account.
