@zenith narwhal personal preference really, when in the backtester I tend to use ticks as I've always traded say FX with a hard 3-5pip sl and 20pip tp so I set the ticks accordingly.

ATR is good as its the average true range at that given time which checks the volatility on that given ticker at that moment in time. So having say ATR 1 means its kind of covering the volatility in the market.

or you could have ATR 2 so thats double what the current volatility is in the market meaning its more conservative SL and not aggressive

Sessions Step conditions also confuses me a bit.

Step: All -> At all conditions there is a check for the Session time.
Step: 3(for example) -> Only at Step 3 there is a condition check for the time. If the other Steps are outside of the session time, that's fine.

Do I understand it correctly this way? (tried to check the library, but couldn't find details on session steps specifically)

Because sessions: Step 3 executes more trades than Step All. So that would make sense.
