Hi everyone, I don't speak on discords much but trading can be a lonely job so I thought I'd start posting my thoughts as I'm testing the luxalgo tools. I trade large cap stocks that are gapping up pre-market.

Watchlist:

TLSA - I've been watching TSLA as a sort of market proxy. It moves well and usually offers opportunities. It's been hovering around the 250 level so I was looking for a breakout or a breakdown from there.

EH - gapping up with news and a good daily chart.

ACMR - I am consideirng this for a swing as its moving out of a downward daily trendline. It popped up on the gap scanner again today.

Trades:

I ended up taking an entry on TSLA. I'm still working on staying in the trades longer, I definitely got out too soon on this one.

EH ended up also having a good run. I thought it might reject PM highs and flush but it came back up. I would have taken an entry on this normally but I got distracted feeding my dogs.

Closing the day out with almost 2 pts / share. I'll take the start to the week.

also you could simply use crypto ,stocks for investments or long swings and futures and forex for day trading

basically you give yourself more options and diversify your risk

being in the beginning, my favourite time to open a position was to gamble before the earnings report and get rekt

gave up on stocks because it was too slow for me. moved to forex and crypto, years later sold some of my crypto and bought stocks for long term

and AMD when i was buying at $7-8 a share

sold crypto after the pandemic, bought some pharmacy stocks but also tech stocks in hope for a rebounce

pharmacy stocks sold them at a loss. shares in disney sold at a loss. had amzn baidu and big marketplaces that closed in profit

Today TSLA was just for a day trade setup, I'm not swinging it. I find that I can usually avoid the ruts in stocks by ensuring I am trading stocks with certain criteria. Mainly a fresh catalyst. I'd say 95% of my trades are day trades. I will occaisonlly swing stocks but that's more of a cash flow tactic and I don't go too heavy.

It helps that I have a good job, and my wife also works. So I'm never net negative because of trading

I'm in the claw my way up phase. I did well in 2020 and start of 2021, because who didn't? And then in the 2022 bear market I didn't know how to navigate that and got chopped out. I re-funded my account this year and I'm baby-stepping it toward the profitability goal

if you want to trade futures, look at doing it via prop firms maybe if you don't have capital or if you don't want to risk your own capital

I like to zoom out to weekly and monthly charts to find long term structures / support and resistance lines. Then try to predict shorter term structures before they’re fully formed; like flags and triangles. Combine that with fibs, volume and luxalgo indicators to look for entry ideas.

Eg HK50 looking for a flag that will take it to the top of the weekly channel.

Or this for NQ

Or this for gold.

If it is a top, I want to see them continue to suck in longs. Eg form a pennant then break it down to a flag —> trapped longs from the pennant may stay long hoping it comes back up via the bull flag —> break it down to a wedge etc until a true reversal —> panic selling as people unwind positions.

NP. Obviously doesn’t always work but I find it useful for ideas. Here was an attempt for BABA. Initially looked like it may work but then moved above the flag.

For gold, this is exactly what I want to see. Once everyone starts posting the bull pennant it will become less likely to hold as everyone will leverage long the floor —> breakdown to stop / liquidate them.

Gas want to retest 1 week resistant line and tops, since 4H Demand zone was respected and wave stoped and in low TF price reverse so more likely we hit 3,241 line of resistance. 200 sma is under which indicates us to BUY position only. Above is Supply zone so we need to watch this area of reaction also to not drop us to 2nd Demand zone and this make a inducment for buyers to be liquidated

Ups and downs today. Tried to catch a bounce on TSLA off of the order block but it flushed lower so I got out. Got back in as it rejected the PM lows and rode it back up to VWAP. Tried to reverse the position on the bearish FVG but I got out of that one with only about .35 of profit. Just didn't have the confidence that it would continue back down.

Tried it today with 1 and 15min intervals. 2/3 trades green with PNL $1000 (starting small) with one of the green trades still open. Pretty impressive as I wasn’t even watching the charts as I was working. Just placed the orders and let it go. Will do some more experimentation. Trades were a long on HK50 (closed green), another long on HK50 (small loss) and a short on Brent (still open in the green).
