Yeah …. You have space to breathe. You can have pullback , a valid stop loss etc…. NQ is like 1 candle can stop you out. I usually trade FVG retest… I was short on one retest with target OB down there. It was enough the candle retraced a little more inside the FVG to be stopped out. And of course the target was later taken. But yes you cannot take a single retracement , one candle against you and u are done

I don’t use any indicators at all…. Naked charts. What triggered me to go long was market structure shift and a breaker formed with displacement so I entered on that basis. And target an opposing OB on a higher time frame.

A few other things took place as well but it’s advanced PA analysis.

Does anyone know if there is a metric that you can see if there is a BOS or a ChoCH and how many times the avg price whent up or down from that BOS? Or if you have a Smart Trail and it flips how many times it follwed the trail pattern? Or is that the backtesting feature?

Unfortunately, there is not a feature that tracks the number of times price goes up/down after an element triggers.

What defines up/down? each tick? each tenth of a pip?
I would assume these metrics would be very large within each candle stick after the element triggers, might be upwards in the hundreds and thousands with just a few candlesticks

When I told people that's how I trade too just pure price action they thought I was crazy xD. Indicators are like training wheels but once you get better you don't need them but I will keep some around to speed analysis if I didn't look at the chart for a while.

Luxalgo indicators wait for a bounce off the reversal zone or the smart bar in the middle

And a signal just that simple because any time i paper trade with more indicators i end in loss. But for some reason with just signals overlays and trading bounces im profiting. But in reality not so easy lol

It sounds like you're relying on S&O to tell you when to get in and get out of trades. Sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn't. Some folks in here may disagree with me, but my opinion is that lagging indicators (like S&O) should only be used as confluence for the narrative YOU'RE building to enter a trade.

IMHO, you should study price action concepts. Watch videos from https://www.youtube.com/@InnerCircleTrader to understand how price reacts to certain liquidity areas. This is how you start to build a narrative around your trading ideas. Then you can use S&O to validate your narrative and add confluence. Personally, I don't use S&O at all as I've found it only validates trades well after I already want to be in them (hence "lagging indicator").

Develop A+ setups (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAkk_5sLagU&ab_channel=AbdullahRasheed), and backtest them to prove to yourself that they are in face A+ setups.
