More than strategies you need to really learn to understand market movements and multiple indicators pointing to a single good Long or Short, maybe you only get a few per day. Never try to out trade the money, set a goal. Say5 trades per day. Even if you have 10 available. You make those 5 and in profit or not. You are done. Reset, learn what you can and go into the next trading day better prepared. The most important step I ever made in learning to trade profitably is learning indicators for what I trade, futures, and how to use multiple ones to verify they all say the same thing. Then I get into a position. But conguency between all 3 I use and the overlay is a must. I only want good trades. Profit will come.

I am going to ask a silly question, lol. I dont understand watching these chats in topstep or aquafunded or other prop firm discords...so many people need "resets for their drawdown" or something to do with they basically traded badly and blew the max loss ? Is that basically what it is ? And some of these people I see continually. Doesnt that mean they are basically bad traders and probably shouldnt be paying to trade at a prop when they dont understand trading ? Just saying. I want to understand this correctly.
In my personal trading I dont really trade at any loss. My PnL looks good so I figured Id go to a prop. As I assume most people would do, order wise. So I feel like moving to the prop wont be any different than trading for myself outside of a few extra rules.

Depends on the kind of trader you are tbh. If you full port just trying to get the account because you dont want to wait (like a degenerate) i.e me and @agile jasper then youll need to reset more often. It wouldnt say you're a bad trader perchance. Everyone has the down days could just be a bad week for you ya know. Once you get running youll kinda understand the prop fund ways.
Most people dont size contracts well or RR well which makes them struggle

If you worked for a real series 6 firm and traded live accounts, there would be no resets. My buddy works for Charles schwab investments and I can tell you he isn't allowed a reset. If he trades bad continually they just will fire him. You should stay in profit.

I stay pretty regimented in routine. Makes things easy in life. I make X amount of trades per day. 5-10 MAX. I decide before I trade based on the days charts and what TF I will focus on trading and what not. Then I stick to that. Way in profit, not in profit, when I hit that number I'm done. I only get into positions that multiple indicators indicate is a go. I try to manage risk as efficiently as possible but not hurt my bottom line.

Most prop firms(like all by 1 or 2 I know of) have you trade on paper accounts and they have bots live monitor the calls and then send over profitable calls to the prop firms actual brokerage where they place SOME of the calls made. So they are ONLY making money. Plus the monthly fees and account activation fees.

it also depends on your mitigation method. if you select candle close, the body of the candle needs to close on the other side of the FVG. if you have wick as a mitigation, as soon as the candle covers the whole FVG it's considered mitigated and it will disappear

Welp...today was interesting.
DEFINITELY not regular BTCUSDT Futures or Perps, lol.
I traded into profit, then traded into a loss, then traded right back to $50K at end of day. So I made nothing.
Definitely a little bit of a learning curve with Micros. Was messing with 5M and 1M TF which I usually dont do at all and didnt enjoy at all, but I dont think the market is liquid enough for 4H TF. So prob gonna have to trade like 10M TF. Also had to adjust some of my indicators to smooth the volatility at those small windows so that was a learning curve as well. Learning on the job type deal.
Also, what a pain in my ass to only be able to place 5 orders. Got to make lots of small, constant wins it appears.
I shall learn, persevere and triumph.
Time for beer, bud and black ops. Prob burgers too.
Got some videos queued up for over the weekend to brush up on some micro trading skills and new indicators I might push in.
