So basically, wasn’t a trade using your strat, but more of a higher timeframe fractal liquidity sweep.

The red line was a 1H fractal low, that has been swept, and the black orderblock was a 30min one and I was sure that it would support my long for a moment, additional confluence was that we were in a deep discount level, so my target was either the equilibrium or an FVG inside the premium zone
Decided to take profit on EQ level, didn’t want to push it since we were bearish for the day (major sellside liquidity wasn’t swept yet)

300k is probably over kill, but I like having the bigger cushion psychologically. 50k probably best bang for buck. And 150k or 250k beyond that. Having to make 5k more profit on an eval for 1k more draw down is rough. I had 17 PA's 25k to 150k, and went into a bit of a manic tailspin and lost them all over 2 day period.

This time around, just sticking to micros, and small wins across a bigger pool of money to keep the stress to a minimum. Just take my time, and add more as I go. Eventually, once I get a little cushion. I'll lead with the 50k trading 1-3 micros, and 2x or 3x the bigger accounts on the copy trader ratio option.

Trying to wait for clean setups, get in/get out. Small wins, smaller losses. Trying to take it more serious.

And 300k sounds like a lot, but essentially, you're just starting off with a $7,500 account. So the actual account size across the board is more or less irrelevant.

Usually mnq lately, easiest/fastest to catch the desired amount on ticks/profit. Since i trade while at work, and usually very short term trades.

But watch all the main indexes and oil (mym, m2k, mes, mcl) for setups and to keep an eye on market divergence . Dow and Russell can sometimes have cleaner directional movement, and other times they'll just stagnate while NQ runs wild. So it just depends what everything looks like, at any given time.

I usually trade reversals off of areas of s/r(ideally on higher time frame), ma retests, watching for closing gap/cross on 15min rti, and just price action/key levels in general. Good at entries, getting better at patients and minimizing losses in failed trades.

I like oscillator, and the signals with lux, but if anything I'm usually using it for conformation to stay in a trade, more so than an entry. But usually I just don't have time to watch a trade play out over a longer time period, unless work is slow.

Like just now, was unloading a truck on that peak there on nq, and missed it. Had a level at 14960 marked and was hoping to short if we got around there. Looks like we got some room to run up today possibly, so just going to be patient and wait again.

I assume you either paid for NT or you are using a funded account for the data

either way on NT you are getting live data while on TV you are getting a delayed 15 min data, to get live data you need to pay like 3$ per provided or buy a package that gives you all of CME for like 10$

I think it even shows a message like "Delayed data" or somethin

However in my experience also Stock data sometimes are not correct. for instance the 8am candle usually is not the same as other broker shows and doesn't make any difference if you pay or not, that 8am candle is always off

I don't take them now but may dabble soon. All depends on if a realistic r/r is also possible but best probability imo is if a breaker block (former order block) is layered on top of an IFVG, price breaks through & closes with conviction. Even better is for price to then come back to retest & reject that zone. Whole resistance becomes support and vice versa.

Oh no, rithmic gets overloaded on busy moves like that fairly frequently in the app. Usually fine via web/ninjatrader connection

If there is, can't say I've noticed it enough to matter. Price is pretty much on point with TV. The order fill latency is kind of built in purposely on the evals on both tradovate and rithmic accounts to simulate slippage. It can definitely be frustrating though when you hit your # exactly but don't get fill/exit. But just something you have to account for.

I got hung up mentally on the drop in the AM, instead of focusing on what was happening currently in front of me. I didn't follow my plan, and didn't follow my main indicators. Everything was screaming a run up, up but I was just soo sure it had to dump at some point and kept jumping the gun. The mental game is still the hardest part for me.

I understand. Easy to do that. My number one rule is no daily bias. Feelings are misleading and the big banks and institutions know that. They plant these darn traps for us retail and MOST fall into. Practice and don’t rely on indicators alone is key. I personally hate ALL indicators. They lag. Best indicator is your eyes.

I’m only here because I get lazy sometimes and don’t feel like putting in the work. lol. Also, when I’m in the run and don’t have time to watch, indicators fill in my lack of attention. 😎.

Don’t beat yourself up though. You realized your mistakes and you learned. Now nothing can stop you! Even the best of the best lose and misjudge. Remember that!

My weapon is my Lux PAC 4H chart for the bias, I never enter the ring without it

In this case. My problem wasn't relying on the Indicators, but ignoring them. And entering for hope of a reversal, instead of one showing likely. On 5min RTI/TSI crossed at 9:15ish, and lux threw out a buy signal at 9:30(sell at 3:50). Trend magic flipped a few times early, but flipped bullish from 10:05 till 3:45. On 15min tsi didn't flip again till 3:45pm, but rti gave a false flip at about 2. Either way, everything was screaming bullish momentum and I was just fighting it for no real reason and had slipped into more of a manic state again. Was aware enough of my behavior to not trade my funded account, but not enough to stop being ignorant on new evals. You would either have to subscribe to real-time data from TV, or open an account with a broker that could be integrated into TV that will push real time data
