I started with the market maker primer course. It was made for forex but it’s where I learn core content for price action, once I understood that I started moving thru a few of his models. But it took months of watching and rewatching and note taking and backtesting and forward testing. I knew I owed it to myself to stop chasing other ppl’s TA and be confident in myself.

I had to take a (long) break from this community because I found myself over promoting ICT. So I want to be clear in saying ICT or not learning price action is foundational period. Be sure in yourself and trade what you see not what others say. ✌🏽

As some of you know already, I started liking MI (Market Internals), mainly $Tick, $Voli, $Sdex.
(what I will say is mainly for NQ, if you want to test that on ES please do and lmk what you found if you mind)

$Tick is a bit all over the place, while it does give nice idea thanks to the levels being as over sold / bought like RSI, it misses a lot with NQ but is helpful as confluence.

$Voli and $Sdex have an interesting relationship between the two and then to NQ, both move similar to each other, the overall concept is that $Voli will move in the same direction as $Sdex. Then, both will move opposite to NQ.

I will give you the example from how I knew the consolidation on the open would break to the downside:

Left - $Voli
Right - $Sdex
White line - When I send the message
Yellow - When the breakout started

What we can see is that while NQ was consolidating, Voli was rejected from the opening low and moved to the opening high, we saw it break for a moment and retreat, we then had the 1 healthy green candle that opened and closed above the open HIGH.
When looking and $Sdex, we can see that it was moving up, breakout happened after it did not break the trend line.

Keep in mind that I take quick trades so the TF is on 1m (all charts)

$Tick on 30s, got rejected off of -800 and broke -600, this reacted in a bit of a delay but it then couldn't keep the rejection and went down.. important thing here is, we were under 0 for a while showing the for now, market is more selling than buying so a downward breakout isn't un-expected

yep, I sometimes am using it to see whether it shows a supply / demand in the market, when the price is under 0 and closer the -600 or so most of the time, it means there is too much supply rn so a downside move is most likely possible, this also means that when it goes above 0 and gets rejected a few times on the 0 lines and goes to 600.. it basically means that a demand started in the market

reading this with some of the confluence that I shared you don't need to wait as much for a good trade

yesterday there were 2 possible trades (didn't take) that would've gotten around 80 points in the first hour of the market

It’s similar, I’m also using the smart trail feature now and with that along with the 50 im allowing myself to believe that the direction will continue for awhile and then determining good entries based off that, much more scalpy and more trades per day, tp has been reduced to 5-10 points, emergency stop is always the break of the trail in the opposite direction. That’s what I’ve worked out so far. Entries have been pretty subjective so far so trying to find something to provide good signals so the group can rely more off that than intuition

The crosses are essentially the signal for long or short. If the cross is green then that means both RSI and ADX are sloping up, red is if ADX is up and RSI is down and gray means theres no signal.

Make sure the Inputs match (they didn't at default), but then I overlayed your new indicator with the dynamo, so when looking at them there is no confusion which one is the RSI or ADX, and can still see the red and green.

@grim cosmos yeah I get having the same colours confuses but to be honest I just have the signal position set to ADX offset and it follows the ADX line. You can also change the colours or style of the lines in the styles tab.

its pretty simple, open $VOLI with LUX and LUC PA, short term and play against it, if it shows a sell signal with everything aligned (smart trail as well) you long

watch out for consolidation though

$VOLI.. also a good trade which I skipped on, but as @ancient marsh strat, the price will usually reject on the smart trail, after the red candle is the entry, the only problem with these is that you won't get an exit signal so you need to decide for yourself

yeah probably, but these strats are not for "advanced" traders who use this to know when and how to enter the market using news

I mean.. it is good to do that, I wasn't focused on the market much yesterday but if you'll take 30 minutes before market to understand what is happening in the market news you'll know that everyone are waiting for first of JULY (today) to know where to move

so it would be better to skip the day before.. but I am finding interesting ways to use LUX PA to know when to enter and when not to

and with that yesterday would've been a 4/5 wins

so here, you would skip the trades until that big few red candles at the end, thats because the CHoCH and EQL at the start indicate a consolidating area and the few consolidating candles at the middle confirm that

with that you skipped those 3 losing trades

and you don't enter the long at the end because smart trail is red (unless you are risky and want to go for it)

and after that we get this beautiful trade for 3.75 points (small one)

the signals are just there cause i haven't turned them off - the actual entries are based on the comments that Quant highlighted - the signals most (not all) of the time seem to be aligned but it's important to watch the ADX/RSI directions for confirmation on entries (this is all based on what I saw - if i'm wrong someone else might have to top up)

I entered on normal candles strong sell instead of waiting for HA signal.. seems to be working great today

adjusted the numbers to 200 last candles, its at -0.94

if its negative it means that when VOLI goes up, SPY goes down (aka opposite) if its positive, both goes in the same direction

the further from 0 you are, the stronger the corrolation it is (either positive or negative)

so if you would've waited for HA signal it would've almost wicked you out, but by entering on normal candles and waiting for HA exit you would still be in a long

I did trailing SL and got wicked out lol

normal candles seems to work better than HA for now, I will test it later on to see if it is true always or just today, firedays tend to be weird.. especially in futures

Top - at first, 0 liquidity so dropped down.. then it hit either TP and SL on many trades so got rejected.
Bottom - ATE all the liquidity in those 2 candles, third candle not enough liquidity to hold

abd another big VP on top, more TP / SL
