EnderIO, although it has come back in 1.20
Dimension Doors, they've got it for 1.17 and beyond but not for 1.16
Random Things, it's only for 1.12
The older textures, they just look so much cleaner.

just apply a texture pack, it's not that hard
Then any new or modded textures won’t line up.
One particular item I'm going to miss is the rope ladder from OpenBlocks. It's especially useful when I'm clearing out an oil reservoir.
Electrobob's wizardy. I love that funny magic mod.
Same, it's so simple yet so fun. I always get overwelmed by the spell crafting ones, and thaumcraft really doen't do much for combat.
I think iron’s spells it pretty similar to electrobob, not the same but close. Discovering spells through trial and error and slowly leveling up your wand, something hard to replace

Ill miss the Chisel mod. I heard its not in 2. Made it so easy to change blocks around or see what they look like.
I don't believe Chisel has been updated past 1.12 but there's other mods that replicate the behavior now.
Chisel has been "ported" to modern MC, although I think by someone else. It is nice to have it but not having it also reduces loading times by a lot.

I’m gonna miss nuclearcraft. It’s what actually got me interested in 1.12.2 over 1.7.10 (kinda ironic). The reactor building might not be the most realistic, but it is such an enjoyable 3d logic puzzle.
Idk if the dinosaurs are gone cause I think they're developing for 1.18, MCE 1 was my first experience with them. Loved it.

AFAICT the TC versions beyond 1.12 have no Seared Furnace, which is heartbreaking considering how massively parallel it is.

Astral Sorcery is on 1.16 
Hellfire does want to port to 1.20, but the sheer amount of code changes and updates is apparently daunting. They are looking for volunteers to help, however.

The Fossils and Archaeology scarab gem Tinkers modifier. You get much from 1 modifier slot.

Actually Additions and XNet - being able to automate canola farms and use these two mods together was such an easy and fast way to start creating energy for all the machines. And XNet was just incredible for creating complex networks of energy, fluids, and items. RIP

littletiles has a 1.20 beta version, idk how stable it is but I would love if it was good enough to add to mce2
A mod that could be a replacement for at least XNet would be "Super Factory Manager", which lets you easily automatme energhy, fluids and item movement among a lot of machines very easily and precisely (much better than what XNet could manage imho).
Just needs a little bit of programming, but it's very simple "spoken language" syntax that's easy to understand.
i remember previous versions not being compatible with the shader thing tho...

Definitely not dark . Don’t even need torch to dig . Also mob masher and tinker additional alloys aren’t here . Nuclear craft is not here . But it’s ok at least thaum is not in a pack
Also miss loot boxes and chance cubes . Loot boxes now just don’t feel the same . Very boring rewards . Lack of variety of jetpacks . Overall modpack now feels as dull as Valhesia

Dimensional doors. I loved to create my own "mind palaces" while abusing methods to break out of the box in white void.
mystical agriculture. /thread. I miss having fields of unoptimised plants go on forever.

That was the mod that made me start to try mags stuff in games as always hated mage stuff.
Iron's Spells I think does an overall better job, but I miss the leveling, excited to get an iron's leveling skill tree in this pacj at some point
Nah, the Spells have worse animations and arent as overpowered imo, its a nice try, but electroblobs still takes the crown
But I gotta give iron spells the summons, they are pretty dope

But I think that's too much automation/science in a modpack more focused on combat/exploration. Nuclearcraft Neoteric exists for v1.20+ but it actively punishes people from ignorantly picking up spicy rocks.
Rftools dimensions to make your own world such as liquid uranium to drain it and convert it into ingots . Meh mce2 sucks lol
Its op asf, but its so cool to make custom dimensions. Tbh, I wish we could at least have RFtools in MCE2( just the builder module would be awesome imo)
I second that, I very much miss the builder, if the world shaper from create wasn’t so OP I’d love to have some sort of building tool like that in the game
