first one was when i started arting, second one is about 3 months later, the pikmin onion is 2 months after that, and the last image is when I finally got back to arting after a long break from extreme burn out.

i’m not a dev but in other mod packs i’ve played that had betas there was often a big update which added and removed a lot of mods which ended up forcing you to either play on the old version or make a new world

It is worth noting that 1.16.5 is a pretty stable modding version now that people are moving up to 1.18 and 1.20. Less likely for massive changes that destroy your pack, but how much less is up to the mod devs

I feel like half of his post are literally just asking people to stop asking him about a release date. This perspective is my own and doesn't represent anyone else on the team, but the way I see it is that unlike typical industry development cycles where there's a clear cut end result for features that are being made, something like this doesn't have any particular stopping point so the goalpost can easily be moved back as ideas pop up. It becomes difficult to measure how 'done' the modpack progress is since that end goal keeps changing as progress happens and ideas/reworks come up, so I would understand the hesitation behind giving any dates for things.

Look how many people are already here and asking/harassing about some sort of release, and then think about how much worse it gets when people think it's close or a 'deadline' gets missed

I use to like twilight forest. But I've played too many modpacks that forced you to go into it, and do repetitive tasks. Plus with it not being finished it just felt hollow for me.

The Twilight Forest is always fun to have, I’ve always loved the magic trees, they make a great addition to my bee areas in my base. Just finding those saplings is a fun adventure for me. I think the progression and all is pretty fun, it feels unique and sort of a light hearted fun challenge. Really a lot of the stuff from the mod is just fun to have around. I mean cmon the magical rainbow wool eating ram?? Hollow hills are always my favorite place to get valuable resources early on, running around with a cheap quarry to good hollow hills brings yummy loot

also turning unsuspecting over world creatures into magical creatures with a bag of magic dust is pretty fun, it’s the little things, they matter lol

Yeah, it confuses me as well. It's a very commonly used mod, it's open source, and people tend to want more out of it. Great opportunity for an addon. What's more, it's entirely possible to make the final castle have a boss with an addon, and yet the only two addons that I've seen do that are from the devs themselves

What makes it better than Tinkers? I feel like there a lot I haven’t experienced in tetra from the limited time I’ve played with it and it doesn’t seem as easy to find resources to really understand progression.
