another headcanon related to direcroiss cotard syndrome
i hc that croissant is super buff, due to their focus in work (tinkering and carrying things and fixing things and. yeah . heavy duty stuff) . however upon becoming director, she stopped doing that kind of work, and stopped working out (no time, needed to focus on Keeping The Timeline Together)
she also stopped eating well, due to stress, no time, and other various factors. due to this, direcroiss' body is now lightly muscular but skinnier. director sees this as their body decomposing in real time

i also find funny that . in my hc . direcroiss head was replaced by a porcelain replica at some point, but it got damaged once, that's how they got their spiral eye . direcroiss sees this as a sign that she's not supposed to be alive, as even her Not-Even-Skin-Face got damaged . all her body is destined to rot

i've seen some people interpret the whole . croissant timekeeper rotef direcroiss timeline differently so i'm gonna say mine for clarity!
normal croissant -> turns into normal timekeeper
in another timeline, croissant -> director croissant -> slowly, turns into rotef.
i see a lot of people say/theorize that direcroiss became timekeeper and then rotef, however i don't believe that is true ! the personality switch is honestly . ooc for direcroiss? i see the similarities of course they're all the same person, but idk ! my headcanon ! not bashing others , just my opinion :3

oh also the valentines timekeeper costume isnt canon (to me) sorryr.

the cotard direcroiss has is sooo much worse in rotef btw.
the thing director croissant wants the most is to . not exist anymore; and to die a hero.
however, once they realize they've turned into rotef, it's too late! they were so focused on the horrible feelings they . felt . that they didn't realize they became immortal. on top of this, rotef is emotionless physically (psychologically you have no idea how messed up they are), so i've come to the conclusion that they've shattered their old porcelain head (in some sort of twisted way to get rid of the powers? the eye spirals are something they can see too yk. also maybe if they removed their head they would not exist anymore. it didnt work)
upon realizing that the porcelain thing was useless, they created a new mask, but didn't even bother making face 'muscles', didn't bother pretending to smile anymore. this makes their cotard even worse-r.

not sure if i mentioned it but i also headcanon rotef's whole body is made out of metal. no dough/skin in there whatsoever. this was done purely by rotef and rotef alone. they broke their body and then fixed it, but with metal. it's rather soothing for them, replacing 'old' parts with 'new' ones, because in some way, they're letting their old body "go" and "rot", just like she wanted when she was a director. she tries to separate herself from direcroiss as much as possible, trying to forget everything and everyone (directorstring woag), so getting a new body weirdly helped them. they're a different person now. and nobody will know who they were before. :3

also! rotef didn't build any sort of voicebox or whatever in their body. they're completely mute. they don't talk to anyone anyways, why would they need one !
the only noise they make are the noises of their body (tik, whirrl, tok, chirp, etc) and that in itself is 'too much noise' for rotef. but they cant do much about it anyways

became obsessed with the way it felt on their tongue, obsessed with how for a few moments the worries seemed to fade away

maybe she went into a mission drunk, once. with strnig gummy, as always. maybe something went wrong with the ship, maybe she was piloting it wrong? due to the drink in their veins. maybe string gummy was never seen after that mission. maybe the director reeks of wine everyday after that

adding to it, the side effects twizzly and string feel after "becoming one" with the timepocket are as follows:

• constant sense of unreality, constantly feeling as if you're in the wrong place and the wrong time
• obsession with checking clocks, or thinking that clocks are mistimed. their internal clock, and the way they perceive time is forever broken due to the time pocket, so they both own many pairs of clocks and watches to feel "normal". (this ties in with one of my timekeeper headcanons, in which their mere presence makes a clock either die or go backwards or in any way, act weird. yes string gummy has to buy various watches and clocks every week and yes he doesn't feel safe around timekeeper for this reason. there are other reasons but this is one of them
• abnormal aging. one day they look younger, one day they look older. they age at a normal (maybe a bit slower?) pace, however they sometimes "skip" or "jump backwards" in time, making them "older" or "younger".
• they can hear and feel people inside time pockets. yes, there are currently probably hundreds upon hundreds of people inside time pockets, however only string and twizzly (and rotef...ig...) were able to escape.
• i feel like im writing TOO MUCH im gonna stop now
