#TPU first layer not connecting and instead has gaps between lines & more

So when I start a print the first layer I print with TPU won't connect with eachother and thus leaves gaps between the lines.

Another weird thing is that the quality worsens the more it goes to the right for some reason.

I have dried my filament, leveled the bed, cleaned the bed, adjusted the z height multiple times, replaced the nozzle, tried using the unclogging rod thingy just in case, did a cold pull and at this point I don't know what to do.

Increase flow til its good

I'll try that but having the flowrate be the cause of the fact the quality worsens the more it goes to the right wouldn't really make sense

If it gets worse on one side something is usally tilted

#

Which printer?

frail pumice

It's on flat ground

The bed or x axis can still tilt 🙂

#

X axis happens a lot

Did you perhaps print a filamemt that runs cooler before the tpu like pla. Pla tends to carbonize at tpu tempuratures and restrict the nozzle. Those elegoo heads arent fun working in, i just slapped on new one on the neptune 4 pro when mine started under extruding.

I've replaced the nozzle multiple times with new ones

How old is the ptfe tube

frail pumice
#

It also curls a bit upward for some reason even though I've replaced the nozzle

frail pumice
#

I've never laid my hands on that since idk what it does and how to replace it

wary pine
#

It might be a little mushroomed before the hotend

frail pumice
#

Ohh

wary pine
#

Its a pain to replace on the elegoo heads. Definitely possible but not fun. Most printers come with a foot of repelacement PTFE tube

frail pumice
#

Yeah a replacement one came with it but idk if I should try to replace it or buy a whole new head all together

wary pine
#

I had a second head just so i can print and work on the old head when i feel like suffering

#

They jam so much into that head its not even funny

frail pumice
#

Ripp

#

I think I'll buy a new head then

#

Is it a pain to replace the head or is it not much trouble?

wary pine
#

Its like 6 screws and the quick connect cable

frail pumice
#

Ohh alrighty

#

Awesome I'll try that then thank you

wary pine
#

Good news i tried getting to the ptfe tube and its not so bad

#

Take your nozzle out first that way you can clean out the heat block with a little drill bit

#

Carbon buildup in the heat block can also backup the head

X axis the thing the extruder is on...
