#Weird lines on print(right above the ct3d logo)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
These are "Z-seams". Your slicer shows you where your 3d printer if going to raise the printhead to start printing the next layer.
Using the vertical slider in your slicer check how your layer (where you spotted the white dots) is being printed and ypu will see that the line starts exactly at the white point.
Why you got your Z-seams at such weird spot you ask? Change your Z-seam placement to shortest or experiment with angles.
I typically set my seam settings to hidden. The slicer will try to hide them by putting the seam into something like a corner and honestly 90% of the time it does a pretty good job and you can't really tell they are even there.
I might be unfamiliar with some terms, cuz every slicer uses diffrent name for each function...but yeah, for cura it should be it
Huh. That's interesting. I didn't know they had different terminology. I just assumed they were all universal. Yeah it looks like it's probably the same thing
These screens are from Cura, but in PrusaSlicer u get diferent names
Yeah, but these should be universal
Thank you guys! I’m so sorry I didn’t respond, I forgot I had notifications turned off for this. I’ll definitely try this out tomorrow.
That's a setting? I gotta give it a try
It is on Cura at least.
This is a tank I printed for a game. You can see how well the seam on it is hidden. I love this setting. It doesn't do as well with rounded objects though.
