#Too many stringssss

Can someone guide me? I'm trying to set up the slicer in every possible way—retraction, travel speed, temperature, etc... But I still haven't been able to eliminate the strings from my prints. There's too much stringing, and my prints are turning out terrible because of it.

I'm using PLA.

String test is 205ºC
I tried retraction 2, 3,5 and 6,5 and nothing
Retraction Speed: 45

Yay you have the two clips in place thats great. Thats reason nr 1. Second is that the original bowdentube? It looks awfully short. Third: your retraction distance might be too high. (Nozzle sucks in air heats it up and poops out the branches you see) fourth: did you check the gcode preview if retraction is on?

#

Fifth: maybe your tube is seated incorrectly and you have a gap between tube and nozzle. Sixth: you sure the nozzle sits tight? Creality has qc issues in that area

Could retraction be off even though I have activated it in Ultimaker Cura?

#

I'll take a look at the code to see if retraction is turned on.

It can be off for layer change, or at zhop if you use z hop

No, it's not the factory tube. This is the Capricorn tube for 1.75mm.

I should really make a video on capricorn...

Just before i rant on that... did you try different filament

#

Yo still there? @ancient rose

ancient rose
#

Yes

#

I'm on the street right now, I'll be back later with more answers. But today I'll still test with another filament.

At temp? Creality often assembels them too cold

Which brands are these?

ancient rose

I'm brazilian and it's a national brand. 3DPrime.

gentle kernel
#

Hm brazil is a relative moist country if i remember it correctly .. have you tried drying the filament? It might be allready moist from the manufacturer

ancient rose
#

Hummmmmmmmm

#

Can I dry the filament using the printer bed, right?

Ye

https://youtu.be/WC3jvuq-uq8?si=kuimtw5RyfuXWV1t the dryer the elites dont want you to know about

What if i told you that you already have everything you need to assemble one of the best filament dryers available? Don't believe me? In this video i'll show you how, with a combination of very simple principles, we can all dry filament without an oven for free.

Btw if you have glossy or silkpla that could also be a reason

ancient rose
#

It's not silk. It's Basic PLA...

#

Yesterday i tried dry the filament.

#

6 hours drying

#

And nothing...

#

I contacted 3DPrime to give me any support with filament...

ancient rose
#

Hey, @gentle kernel .

#

I have tried to dry the filament at the night.

#

It's all good now.

#

Hey, can you indicate me a filament brand?

gentle kernel
#

Not for brazil unfortunaly

#

Maybe ask in #3dprinting 🙂
