Hey there, I have a problem with my printer /settings, could anyone help me how to fix this? Tried different Temperatures and Z-Heights, it seems to entangle itself whilst moving down to print (filament already sticking out a bit?)
My printer is an Ender 3 S1 Pro and I use PLA (190-220deg)
Changed filaments now it doesnt work anymore. Used original creality filament yesterday, that worked, now sth from the internet (doesnt work).

I will try, thank you!

#

But do you think this is the problem as it worked with another filament yesterday?

you might have had been lucky. sometimes the colour has a huge impact on properties

This filament looks like the gross free stuff you get with a printer.

#

Also it looks like your nozzle is too far from the bed or you are under extruding

safe berry
#

Yeah the free stuff works better than the Flashforge one I had for the print on the picture, seems like originals work better... And yes, the height was too high too, it was shorting the turns as it was hanging down the nozzle... Trying it again today:)

So Creality likes to be fed with original filament xD

safe berry
#

Well it works nowpepeHypers

Just dont buy more stuff from them

safe berry
#

Well, which one works too if I shouldnt buy more from Creality??

earnest oasis

Are you in the eu or in amerika?

Hmm timmory ereyone and primavalue are my go too filaments herr

#

*here

#

Im close to beat the 700kg mark on primavalue 😄

safe berry
#

And what speaks against Creality?

earnest oasis
#

Sofar .. inconsisten colours, horrible diametervariaton, very bad spooling,

#

Unless you pay 5 € per spool i would never buy it

safe berry

Okay, can you imagine, why the Flashforge one doesnt really work on my printer? Seems to be too slimy or sth even at 220.C

earnest oasis
#

Same material?

#

And by slimy you mean its very shiny?

safe berry
#

Yea both 190-220deg PLA

Might need a different bed temp or is moist

safe berry
#

Tried everything fom 60 to like 45, or should it be even higher or lower?

earnest oasis
#

Higher you have a pei coated bed. Its sticking powers start at 60c

safe berry
#

I dont have a clue what that is, as ive just entered the hobby, which one is it on the Ender 3 S1 Pro?

earnest oasis
#

Also finger grease greatly reduces the sticking power. It dont go away that easy with isoproplyalcohol so you need to whipe several times or use water and soap

#

Pei powder coated with a slight structure usally

safe berry
#

Ah interesting... So my 1kg PLA thing that doesnt stick... Could I use it after the first layers and print it over the Creality one? Because im running out of material on that, I mean its a test run, but I am able to finish it I would try that...

earnest oasis
#

You can change filament during a print yes. But i cant tell you how well that will work with these two materials

safe berry
#

Yeah okay I think I will try this, so after I paused the print, can I move the printer up to fill in the new filament better or isnt it returning to the position?

earnest oasis
#

I thik it even has a menu option change filament

safe berry
#

I will look into that, thank you!

So small Update: Model with Creality PLA did finish fine, now I managed to get the Flashforge one to work with higher bed temp of 70deg. Normally it says lower but it works now so Im happy 😉

the values are a recommendation 😄
