#Trying to do a color change

I have a Longer LK5 Pro and am using cura as my slicer. I am printing small test pieces that don’t matter if they are multi-colored but are good to test on and I had added a filament change script in the post processing and my printer completely ignored the g code it seems unless I am crazier than I think I am. In the first picture in background of the pop up it shows where I think it should have stopped to allow for the filament change. The second picture is showing that it didn’t stop. I was going to switch to a black color filament but it didn’t stop.

I am trying to do this so that I don’t need to sit and watch it for hours on end and I can come and change it. (I will have a camera on it but I still want it to stop so I have a chance to go and change it without it just continuing)

Ok. That’s good to know I’ll see if the other option will work. I also tried to just pause the print and I guess I don’t fully understand how to do that either with the settings because it acted like it was going to pause but then didn’t. (The nozzle went up to the home position like it was supposed to and then even with a timeout set it just lowered back to where it wasand resumed the print so if I weren’t there to catch it I wouldn’t be able to pause it manually).Would a good idea be to delete the g-code where I want it to stop so I can change the filament and then after I change it load in the previously deleted g-code. (I guess I’m asking if that would work or if that would be to hard)

I was suggesting the filament change gcode might not be enabled on your firmawre. you can just change it manually if that is the case

understood. thanks so far for the help. Ill update this if that works.

if all else fails could I do like I had said and delete the g-code where I want it to stop and then load the deleted g-code?

yeah, that would work, it's just kinda inconvenient

Yea. That’s why I say it as a last resort
