I have been using the same print file for weeks and had no issues printing at all, but now it looks like this when I print more than one at the same time. Any suggestions?

1st photo from a batch of 10
2nd photo from a single print. No gaps

Ensure belt tention and everything is snug and has no play

check if the bowden tube got loose

Both of those look fine to me. Belts tight and no play in the Bowden tube where it connects on both sides.

do you have oozing if you print more then one?

#

well it is single wall extrusion ... what are your retraction settings?

delicate imp
#

I'll check. (Like I said this print file has been working fine for the previous ~500 prints. Would the cause then be in the settings?)

retraction settings

@stuck coyote do you see anything you would recommend adjusting?

stuck coyote
#

yes

#

id lower the distance down to 4 and lower the speed to 35

delicate imp
#

Thanks, I'll try that out then. Print job uses 101g of filament so will take a bit before I can give an update yikes

stuck coyote
#

you can only print 2 and onyl the part that causes issue and dont risk loosing much time and material

delicate imp

I'll look into how to do that. Still pretty new to printing. All I've pretty much done is set up the printer and pressed print πŸ˜…

stuck coyote

then its a wonder it did not explode :> ender 3 no mater the version rarely work out of the box

The only problem I had before luckily was the bed leveling at the first few prints but that's perfect now.

stuck coyote
#

yeah thats a common issues mostly because creality cant do good profiles for abl thats why i have a video for that in my profile

A lot better. Still some tiny gaps but not nearly as bad as before. Going to try a print with 10 of them again.

My prusa brass nozzle still had .4 after 4000 hours ..

#

Then a 4 hour glow in the dark drilled it up to. .7 πŸ˜„

twilit geyser
#

yeah but prusa doesnt ship cheapo nozzles.. im just saying πŸ™‚

stuck coyote
#

Worst nozzles sofar were the flsun ones on the super racer ... all 4 were horrible shite with teflon spray or oilers or silver polish

#

Switched to brozzle nozzles now. Nickelplated copper in the sr and hardend steel in thr prusa no more issues

twilit geyser
#

yeah getting higher quality nozzles makes a huge difference.

#

its just annoying when 1 nozzle costs like 20€ lol..

#

or more.

#

i use cht nozzles.

#

i love those.

Wanted for the sr but there were none back then

I've got 0.6 nozzle from this kit. Unavailable now, but it was about 40 cents per nozzle https://www.amazon.nl/dp/B0924RLMY6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Probably have about 550 hours on it since 24th of March.

#

All fine now though after following the retraction suggestions posted earlier. Finished a run with 10 of them and not a single gap anymore. Still no idea why it was working fine before, but anyway, it is solved πŸ™‚

did you replace the nozzle at some point?
