#bed adhesion issues no matter what I try?

I checked:

  1. tightbelts
  2. 60*C bed heat
  3. glue
  4. manual level
  5. bltouch level
  6. readjusted z-axis supports (to level x axis)
  7. clean bed
  8. tightened wheels
  9. stable nozzle
  10. stable and straight bltouch
  11. tight carriage
  12. good z offset (you can see from pic)
And I’m STILL getting this on my E3V2 and I have no clue what to do :((

Anyone have ANY ideas?

please take a focused picture of just one layer on the bed

silk flint
#

That’s pretty focused and it’s only one layer

wary notch
#

please get a more focused picture

#

also please attach the gcode

i had a similar issue where my first layer was bad and i fixed it by installing jyers firmware with ubl 10x10 bed leveling or whatever its called lol. It levels 100 probe points on the bed instead of 9 so its more accurate. i think this worked for me because my bed was warped in some spots but then again im still new to 3d printing and idk

#

hope this helps

#

also im pretty sure there is better firmware out there but thats the one i used

Reformat the sd card

#

Right click on your pc and click format

pallid jacinth
#

Make sure you click on the sd card lol, don’t wanna accidentally reformat your main drive 💀

#

It should be FAT32

#

Keep in mind it will delete your files on it so back up everything you need to keep

silk flint
#

Even tried installing firmware to the screen but it didn’t work (thank god too because I realized I had the type of board that would’ve been fried from the firmware I was trying to install 💀💀)

what size nozzle is this?

#

and what are you naming the firmware when you put it on the sd card?

#

your extrusion heights AND widths are set to 0.3mm in Cura, which doesn't make sense for any nozzle size. if you are using a 0.3mm nozzle you should lower your height. if you are using bigger than 0.3mm nozzle you should raise your width to AT LEAST that size.

silk flint
# wary notch what size nozzle is this?

0.4mm nozzle so ~80% is 0.3mm I thought that was the max?

I tried both the default name and “firmware”

You’re saying my line width should be the same as my nozzle size, even if the layer height is less?

wary notch
#

the width should be 0.4mm or larger, up to like 0.6mm or so. and the height at 80%ish of 0.4mm or less

#

iirc creality boards won't flash new firmware unless it has a different name than the previous flash

#

if you still have issues after width changes. please take a picture of LITERALLY ONE SINGLE LAYER on the bed, please. 🙂

silk flint
#

Thank you 😎👍

#

@wary notch btw do you recommend I get a different type of plate? Currently with the default glass one

wary notch
#

I think that coated glass is fine, but having to wait for it to cool to remove parts can be inconvenient

silk flint
#

@wary notch 215*C nozzle, print profile from a friend, new bed, new nozzle, light layer of glue and it’s STILL lifting

wary notch
#

please attach the gcode and take a more focused picture. Nothing can be seen in the first photo

silk flint
#

It’s as focused as my camera will get it lol. No disrespect but I can’t shoot in 24MP and I just need troubleshooting, not fine tuning

wary notch
#

no. you need to tap on your screen to focus what you want. your cooler and your thumb look great

silk flint
#

It’s black on black man lol. Also I DID tap the screen to focus

#

I just need advice on what to do when there’s crappy bed adhesion

wary notch
#

your first layer doesn't look the best. it's possibly nozzle too close to the bed or overextrusion.

#

it also looks inconsistent, or is that just the photo?

silk flint
#

No it’s def inconsistent

wary notch
#

also attach the gcode

silk flint
#

Nozzle too close can cause lifting?

wary notch
#

so it's different on the left vs the right of the bed?

silk flint
wary notch
#

I know your phone takes better pictures, dude

silk flint
#

Yes it does but apparently it doesn’t like my build plate can we please drop this

wary notch
#

attach the gcode

silk flint
#

please give me a second

wary notch
#

what exactly is the "bed adhesion issue"? the corners are curling up during the print or?

silk flint
#

Yes and edges are raised on the first layer

wary notch
#

I'd say your nozzle is too close to the bed causing the first layer to go down thin and terrible and then peel up.
