So I did my first print on my own and it was a spectacular fail as expected, 5/9 stuck to the vat/fep and just didnt feel like being alive. I used a combination of my own and automatic supports, neither correlate to which ones were successful so i dont really know what went wrong. I stopped the print on 60% hence the headless wiggles, and the duck butt have some separation which kind of looks like lack of resin but cant be. help pls

#

I expect there to be some grave mistake, or i hope it will be, so its a me problem and not a printer problem

resin?

The elegoo abs like

#

Same as for my testprint

#

Didn't change the settings.

#

But i feel like I fucked up putting the kepcaps so close to each other, maybe the suction made it fail

fair onyx
#

probably

#

would need to see your slicer screen to help there, just take some screenshots of what you tried to print

Well I only have these pics cus I'm at work

#

The burger was removed

#

And it was reorganized a little bit

#

Maybe I didn't have enough supports, these screenshots were taken before I was done fucking around with it

#

So it's not 100% accurate

#

These were the ones that was successful

#

ok so no where near enough sup on those key caps

#

honestly you are better off printing them at 45deg

#

same for the duck, seriously not enough

#

if I print anything small this is th amount of sup I put on it

#

notice I also use the sphere tips in chitu so after removing sup and post curing there are raised bumps I can sand away instead of little divots

#

now I dont use rafts because I have a flex plate, so removing prints is piss easy

#

as a rule though rafts are a pain in the ass

#

even if yo do need them if you dont have a flex plate

no

You live and you learn

fair onyx
#

the issue you need to consider is suction force

#

consider the outer unbroken perimeter of the the layer shape

valid arrow
#

Yea I know that now, I forgot about it when I was setting it up. Also I forgot to consider how fucking tiny they are

#

So I should switch to sphere contact shapes?

#

That makes sense

#

And i will be buying a flex plate but correctly don't have the money

#

The supports that did survive tho were very easy to snap off which was nice

#

I'll try the print again tomorrow, I'm excited

#

Thank you @fair onyx godbless
