#Sovol sv06 print problems

I believe this is called pillowing(?)
Correct me if I’m wrong on that
What material? @manic kestrel
pla
you are looking at the side
and not the top
If so, adhesion is a big risk with that print lol
It might’ve not been stable
That’s the plane that folds its wings right
I don't think an unstable print would explain this part
I’ve had little gaps in my print from it being unstable; so it’s just a guess
I notice there’s also some uneven edges
good idea though
Give it a shot with the primitive technique known as the raft
Oogadooga
If that model is what I think it is then I had good success with using a raft
I printed mine on the tail fins too and before using a raft it would wobble a little
Wow
worse than I expected xD
Yeah
Way worse
Did that filament come with that printer
Man he’s got everything
Rolling walls
Is he new to printing
yeah but I tweaked and fixed his profile and calibration yesterday
R u in person with him or just texting
Auto bed leveling
Oh
and his first layer looked perfect
I also did esteps, flow and linear advance
and retraction
Hmm
Try printing the xyz calibration cube and see what it looks like rq
If the problems pass over to the cube then you’ll know it’s not the model and actually his settings
I should just invite him to this discord I guess xD usually I am really good with this but I have more experience with delta and core xy
He’s welcome anytime
I am not entirely sure if this is flow or movement
It looks like both
Sorta
I see under-extrusion but I also see points where it looks like maybe the filament didn’t stick to the print and got dragged a little
@high moth
He made an account just for this convo lmao
xD
I put the linear advance k factor in the start g code. I assume that should work? He is too lazy to use one of his many old laptops for octoprint xD
Yep
his was really low but the test pattern looked great
@high moth ...
looks fine I guess?
I'm still trying to get the calibration cube images on here D:
yeah that one lol
The k factor flow calibration, we decided to go for -3
I wonder if your weird nozzle makes this a bad way to test flow
This should be it then
yeah but that is also fine
and 0.05 k factor is not going to do much
use 3 walls (1.2 wall thickness)
and set the flow to 100% first
so not one as said on there?
