I have a quick question so I don’t risk burning my house down. I’m using the Godlike as my server motherboard, and I plan on plugging 2-amp fans into it. The manual says SYS_FAN1–6 are rated for 2 amps but only supply 12 watts — which doesn’t add up mathematically. The CPU fan header is also rated for 2 amps but lists 24 watts. Is this a typo in the manual? Should I go by the amp rating or the watt rating so I know if it’s safe to plug in these fans?

What if one is 5V, and the other 12V. That doesn't make sense tho because they should be 12V
I'm just guessing. I did zero research about the board
Sadly math still doesn’t add up and it would also mean that all the headers are 5v which wouldn’t make sense
Could be a typo in the watts rating
I’m assuming, well I hope it’s the wattage and not the amperage
It's probably worth contacting MSI tech support to verify, if you're planning to connect more than 1A
yea there open on the weekdays for US support and im building it tonight, so ima just wing it what could possibly go wrong
Typo here too 😅

bro you have to be kidding
It's almost like they meant to say what it's actually rated for, but had a typo
But yeah, as you probably already know, the safest bet is to treat it as 1A, until you get confirmation from MSI
so i got 3 fans to do
i was thinking pulling them into the 2 pump and the CPU header
and then having my AIO pump plugged into the 1 amp
that should work
