Computer not booting

When i turn on the psu the rgb and the fans come on for a sec and then turns off. The orange standby light comes on as well for a second please help me.

Is this a first time build or was it working and suddenly stopped?

I was told by someone the psu might be dead

Could be a lot of things at this point, and could be a PSU issue.

Nothing completely obvious here. What are the specs of this system (exact model of the MOBO)?

Usually isn't needed, but only one CPU power cable is plugged in.

The GPU is using a single cable vs two separate cables into that adapter. One PCIE cable is rated for 150 watts (I think).

Cool. Just wanted the manual incase it would be necessary.

I would have him check the cables on the PSU side and use a dedicated cable for of the adapter plugs.

He has the adapter coming out of the GPU and it has 2 plugs. It looks like he is only using a single cable with a pig tail and not two separate cables. Might not solve anything, but would recommend.

Hey we found out it wasnt a psu issue so were not exactly sure. Any ideas?
