Well, gaming laptops generally don't have a very long lifetime. Even a decent one only lasts about 2-3 years

No, not normally, you can downgrade the graphics for the current game and the fps should increase tho

Pretty much, tge worse tge game looks the faster it runs, useally

Thats cause the more Vram your laptop is using is going to graphics and your GPU is spending more energy trying to run good graphics

Repaste, get rid of dust, fresh install windows. If you're thermal throttling more than when the laptop was new cleaning and repasting will help

repasting is key if you're thermal throttling, but it's not gonna make your laptop faster than it was when it was new obviously

If you want a laptop to last, just gotta repaste it every year or so

hard to pump out more performance out of a laptop, that's just not something you can do like on a desktop rig
