Should be fine
If you get a chance to upgrade to an ATX 3.0 or 3.1 PSU though, that would be ideal just to remove points of failure and have simpler cabling.
but for now the adapter should be sufice
i have a rm1000e ATX 3.0 with the 12vhpwr cable
i was unsure to use this or adapter
i do not what my cables to burn like what i'
ve seen other users experience
cable melting issue only applies to 4090 and 5090
thanks for letting me know!
since they can potentially pull 600+ watt or have extremely unbalanced load with that much power
you shouldn't experience that high of power pull on your 5080
so use the 12vhpwr cable?
so you shouldn't need to worry, no need to use the adapter if you have 3.0
sounds good thank for the help
