#5080 cable adapter help

So my power supply gave two 1x 8 pin and two 2x 8 pin pcie cables and the 5080 ventus says I need 3 individual pcie cable to the adapter. Should I be okay to connect one of the 2x 8 pin connectors to one of adapters?

I have a 12vhpwr from Corsair but I’m worried it’ll burn

If you get a chance to upgrade to an ATX 3.0 or 3.1 PSU though, that would be ideal just to remove points of failure and have simpler cabling.

since they can potentially pull 600+ watt or have extremely unbalanced load with that much power

you shouldn't experience that high of power pull on your 5080

so you shouldn't need to worry, no need to use the adapter if you have 3.0
