Hello Natured here,

my very new MSI Vector has been COMPLETELY freezing while playing games......
the only way to turn it back on is by force shutting it down and restarting it.

my MSI:

  • Intel core I9
  • 16GB ram
  • 1 TB
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
  • 2,2 GHz

the game i have been playing which is possibly causing it to freeze is Minecraft....

  • i play it with shaders
  • 23 chunks
  • some other mods
  • i put my battery one the highest power saving mode

  • best power efficiency<< / balanced / best performance

on internet they say the best power efficiency might be the problem
but dont know how to be sure

ive been looking all over the internet what could be the cause and what i can do about it.
but so far cant seem to figure it out
so im here to ask for help ^^

can anyone help me figure out what i should do to fix this problem?

ok so.... im acc playing minecraft right now.. i indeed put my device on high performance... but about 5 min ago it still completely froze

Check your system memory usage inside Task Manager, some background processes could be eating all your resources

it doesnt feel laggy at all.... it just completely freezes sometimes while running a game

Would you be fine doing a clean installation of Windows, it will remove all applications and files.
