Sometimes when playing some games the sound starts crackling in an annoying way but usually it was fixed with reloading sound output by any means(Disconnect physically or just ask windows to use one instead of default for a little while) however after i started using some Android Emulators their sound crackling is almost impossible to get rid of by doing this so I am curious if there is a proper way to fix this annoying issue or will i have to constantly keep rebooting pc and having no sound on if using emulators?

Not sure if you have seen this video, but he briefly mentions common troubleshooting steps to try first, and then gets to the solution that helped him.
About a month ago I got a new beast mode Windows 10 editing PC. As much as I love it there was one issue I could not find a solution for online - the audio was popping and crackling. Being an audio guy, you can imagine how much this irritated me.
I searched far and wide on the internet and almost every article I read went thru the same list but...
I will look into that when i'll get free time to actually tinker around with my pc slightly because i am sure i got like... 10 different audio devices for whatever reason xd
Sounds about right, after everything that gets installed over time.
I know I manually have to disable certain sound output options in the output selection menu because I only ever use two, but windows seems to think having 5+ listed is a good idea by default.
Tbf i do have an old post here somewhere when it happened for the first time and back then i did not have a lot of stuff
It was fresh windows install
With only the realtek audio driver on it
Maybe it is something related to conflicting drivers and disabling them solves the issue, but who knows with tech. It all sucks.
I’d be curious to hear what happens. I haven’t had this problem myself.
There is ONLY realtek driver
Nothing else
Maybe voicemeter now but not in the past
In even more past with intel system I also had razer drivers but for some reason i don't like them at all so i don't use those
They have terrible audio quality
Oh, with Voicemeter I just hit the restart audio option from the Task Menu and everything restores itself.
I don't use it tho xd
Just saying, I have seen an issue with that software.
Good luck once you get a chance to tinker.
So me disable everything now time to see
Now lemme open as much apps that cause the issue as possible
For now didn't cause immediate problems, let's see in the future
However now emulators use audio that is turned off lol
Not a problem as their sound isn't needed anyways
Yep, now is the dumb part of troubleshooting and seeing if the intermittent issue goes away or if you are just within the window where it would have worked anyway.
Not sure how the emulator works, but you can’t change the audio source to one that you have turned on?
I also guessed that this much emulators are saying that 32 ram ain't enough so I already got 64gb kit ordered
I assumed maybe overloading and using page file too much could've broken it
Yeah I can, anyways having sound on all emulators is... Not needed and rather useless dueto these much instances heh
Alright then, hope the overall issue stays resolved.
So do I
But only time will tell with this one
I do hate when it's hard to reproduce issue
Just to show you why i am thinking on ram xd
Don’t think there has ever been a better example of a situation where getting more capacity is actually useful.
Where getting more than 32 is useful*
Because getting more than 8 is always good, more than 16 if you are doing anything else besides simple office tasks(Word, excel, some script once in a life time, browser)
Fair enough.
Partially the reason why i chose 3060 over 4060 as my budget didn't allow to go higher tier but i needed lotta vram
Also most likely will have to do AI learning cuz i am really curious about some voice recognition and etc
Maybe voice mimic too would be amazing, imagine horror game which can use your friends voice and answer your questions with those?

Did not solve the issue. Still remains.
Damn. When did all of these issues start?
Have you tried multiple different headsets or output devices to see if the issue is isolated to a single pair of headphones?
Since the beginning. This headset served me 3 systems
One from amd(current)
Two inte(i5 7400, b250 asus), (i5 13400, z790 asus)
Hasn't occurred on other system but had to have some fun on older one due to fun outputs in case and mobo and real one xd
Set in bios AC97 and in GUI of Realtek to HD as in any other configuration it did not work back then
Maybe time to try uninstalling audio drivers.
I’d suggest uninstalling the audio driver, and doing a restart to let Windows auto install what it detects.
If that still happens then try installing the driver from the MB.
Did a lot : )
Including from Realtek website
When was the last time you did a complete windows install and just start from scratch?
Probably 3 months ago
I sometimes do this and meanwhile save half the stuff onto hdd which I later on get back or install from
Some exe, utility apps, spacesniffer
BRO
AUTOCORRECT BE WILD XD
Damn, wonder what people are talking about to have that even be an option.
Then it could just be a bad audio port on the MB, and nothing we do can fix it.
Well... Stuff like that I didn't really say xd
I have heard that this stuff happened with Am4 sometimes and now with am5 sometimes
Maybe customer support has a solution for you, but sounds like we have tried everything.
Well... Considering how much possible solutions I found xd
And for now the best is to manually reset it by unplugging from mobo and getting it back after 10 sec
Which isn’t much of a solution if it keeps breaking.
Temporary one in case of multiple emulators breaking it
Usually just reloading via apps is enough in other cas3s
Also. My motherboard got not working dimm A1 and B1
Sooo
It seems I got faulty one or improper cpu placement
Could've been the cause
Potentially. RMA or maybe upgrade if it is time/in the budget.
(reasons for can't rma - me Russian, support from Msi here sucks)
Tried to get laptop support - didn't do shit xd
Told me what I already knew and requested insane amount of money to fix my audio card
It coats 2$ to buy new one and another 10 to ask someone to solder it in xd
So yeah
Seems like live with it
And maybe upgrade at some point to some 800 or 900 for 10000 Ryzens heh
Or 9000, depends on their Ai results
Presumably
Turning off Audio enhancements fixed it
At least partially
Yeah, but I'm not speaking of idle usage
That was under my specific load that I need to do for job/freelance
If my pc was only for discord/browser then yeah, 16 would be enough
For games 32 Cuz i like some ram hungry games(Minecraft, satisfactory also be taking up to 11gb sometimes)
But for job I needed 64 which I've gotten
Buuut
There is some fun : )
your OS background takes up legions more then mine
Literally the task that I am doing by itself is taking 40gb bruh
Outside of OS consumption
Besides - my background overall is usually around 11gb including discord(takes about 1-2gb), browser(usually at 1-1.5gb),steam(why is it even taking this much, about another gb) and etc
And sometimes windows likes to report as if it uses ram when in reality it doesn't use some of it which is fun and weird
Sounds like excess use of background resources mhm mhm
Oh nooo i don't care about every single byte being saved oh nooo
32gb being enough for almost everything even with bloat and not being enough for my jobs even if it's just purely 32gb that you give it because it just literally is not enough in this particular instance no matter how you optimize OS
Go on and use pure Linux or something at this point if you care that much about it being "excessive usage"
Just to much bloat Duck
Let's not be slow to the curve, gotta curb those background processes
Don't worry, I'm here to help you get the best out of your system
I understand sometimes it can be an issue if the end user is slow, hence me speeding ya up 8)
No i don't need
I need them running as i am using them constantly
Yes it takes an AMAAAZING 5 more gb which i will free if needed
Why would you even bring this up here?
I sent a screenshot of what happens when i am running my task due to RAM limitation
Or you wanna say that "Nooo, it is windows being bloated which is why it takes 55gb to do this"
Ah yes, I shall send a friend request & call you 8)
Or just send your own tiny 11 with personal miner?
