What do you mean by that?
like yk
i want to switch my gpu mode
to
discrete
but i seem to cant find its on my general settings from msi center
normally there is a option to switch gpu
but its not on here for some reaosn
do u know how to fix its?
I don't think you can Switch GPUs entirely as it should still run light workload and the screen itself from the iGPU while heavy tasks like games will be from discrete one
oh i see
but then how do i gain more fps?
wait quick question
if i have a gaming laptop with rtx 3050 and a intel core i7
how many fps should i normally get on fortnite?
@glass wigeon
I mean... Your game still runs from discrete GPU so...
I mean depends on settings
oh everything is low
beside the distance is epic
and its 1980x1080 if that's how u call its i think
And how much are you getting?
Sounds not that terrible but you can check if the game runs off the discrete gpu via task manager
Also how much ram you got?
16 gb ram
its is terrible because for some reason my friend has intel i5 and rtx 3050 with 8gb ram and get like 200+ fps
Is he also using laptop or it's a desktop tho?
he is also using a laptop
Also what about nanite or dlss
what's that..?
Are you using Nanite?
uhmm idk how can i check?
That's one of settings in fortnite
alr lemme turn on fortnite rq
Also when you turn it on check in task manager which gpu is it running with
okay
As an example here - cs2 runs from gpu 0 which in my case is Nvidia RTX 3060
While some other stuff is from gpu 1 which in my case is iGPU
alr lemme check
sorry its took long
uh
i used
TSR low
on settting
and mij gpu uses like 30 %
Question was about stuff like Nanite as it may lower your fps significantly
DLSS is basically upscaling using nvidia
does its mean.
i finally get good fps
if this works ur a legend
DLSS is basically - rendering game at lower resolution and then upscaling it to your native resolution
yeah that's good enough
Still... What about nanite?
Well... Kinda good i guess xd
But basically you can play around with settings and may found some that has better perfomance some that are worse
Be careful with DLSS tho, if you put it to perfomance it may lower quality of image quite a lot
I.. Am not sure what's that since i don't play fortnite and not sure what really hides behind most of settings 😅
oh okay its alr
wait lemme check something rq
there are also like other option
there is
TAA
FXAA
and htere is tsr low tsr medium tsr high tsr epic
is DLSS the best option?
anyways
i gtg
bye bye
and thx for help 😄
On nvidia gpu - usually yeah
